Maiden Voyage - can this be for real?

I found this when browsing QXL:

Can anyone who has this tape confirm that the tape looks real? The story in the auction listing looks quite unlikely (cover lost on a party...).

That's what I thought. If you have this tape you know what it is and would not sell it for 80 NOK. :-)

You know, it's actually kind of hard to dismiss it as a fake. I've got a real one, and the tape itself is white like this one with MOTOR written on one side and PSYCHO on the other, with a black marker, and that's it. A thinner marker than on the tape in question, though, and I can't remember if the handwriting is very different. Guess I'll have to dig it out from... er, come to think of it, I have no idea where it's at right now. sad smiley Anyway, Lobotomizer, what does your buddy's copy look like?

Im curious, what would be a reasonable price for this tape (if its original, that is...)? (not so updated on tapes!)

Not sure what the market value is for this tape, and that's because I have seen it for sale only once in the last few years. It is very rare, only 100 were made in the first place and that was when Motorpsycho were unkonwn. I would think this would get as much as the first vinyl albums and that could be anything from 500 to 1500 NOK, depending on the buyer...

Feel free to comment on the prices, though. I may be wrong here.

I went into a used record store (Upstairs??) in Trondheim several years ago holding a copy of Maiden Voyage (not mine, sadly...), and the guy behind the counter offered me 500 kr for it then and there, saying "many crazy Italians come here asking for it, and would pay more..."
