Yes, this is great - but the download takes FOREVER! I've got no seeds. sad smiley I'm usually a patient guy, but I'm so anxious to hear this, very curious about the audio quality.

I'm getting a nice speed here. About 40kb/s. Just started downloading tho.
Eager to hear the sound too. If it really sucks, i might even try to remaster it, and post a MP3 version here (can't seem to understand why the hell they need to make the bootlegs in that .flac format)

10% in 2 hours, man that's slow...

Gaspa! Download a bittorrent program such as azerius or bitcomet. Install it and then run the file that Knoot posted.

23% in 1,5 hours. Quite ok and stabile speed here.

Gaspa; You've used torrent based downloading before haven't you?

10 hours - 76%. It's going slightly faster now, but for a while there it wasn't moving at all.

Well, maybe because mp3's sound terrible to people who can actually HEAR the difference !!? Yes, those people do exist!
There's a reason why mp3 data is so much smaller than flac.

If you can't even see/hear why flac is preferable over mp3,
it's better to keep your "remasters" just for yourself.
There's enuff lossy garbage out there already, u know.

Couldn't agree more! Well formulated.

Well, but if the sound isn't that good it's totally unimportant if its in mp3 or flac...

Thanks in advance. How do I convert flac into mp3?

@ all Downloaders : Please share the file also after you finished downloading so everybody can get it. THX

I disagree. When the recording is bad it's even MORE important to preserve it in as good a quality as possible.

Cool your jets there man! No need to get offensive. It's just so frustrating having to wait alittle lifetime for these files to find their way onto the HD + the sound is obviously not great in the first place, and i doubt that the general listener hears the difference that much when it comes to this kind of "lowrate" recording. Had it been a studio album, then i would have agreed with you. Also, given the right treatment, i think that a 320kbs mp3 collection will sound alot better then those flacs, despite the compression (on bootlegs that is). But i guess we just don't see eye to eye on this matter.

As for my attempts to pollish these bootlegs; Others in here seem to like them, and want more. so why not share? I'm only doing this to in order to capture more great moments of our favourite band, without getting frustrated because of the poor quality. But If they sound so terrible to you, then just don't download them.

Well, of course flac is better than mp3. Mp3 is compressed audio and naturally not as good as uncompressed audio. I think we all know this. But I also think most of us prefer to download mp3 because it doesn't take fucking forever to download. smiling smiley

The audio on this Darmstadt recording sucks big time. It would've sucked just as much in the FLAC format as in mp3. It's like buying expensive Genelec studio monitors for a studio with shitty preamps etc. The sound would be SHITTY anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate that it's being shared and I'm sure I will enjoy it when the download is complete. I am saying that as far as low quality bootlegs go, they might as well be mp3 compressed - because they won't sound good anyway.

That's my opinion anyhow... smiling smiley

EDIT: While I wrote this post you guys had already discussed the stuff I wrote about! grinning smiley Oh well smiling smiley

if anyone feels the need to mess with this recording, i think it's only fair to discuss with alex and/or the person who recorded the show.

Hey, did Alex and/or the person who recorded the show discuss the recording with Bent and/or Snah?

It's a messed up recording anyway, and the idea, I think, is to make it less of a mess. smiling smiley
