Way ahead of you. I've made a new version of Triggerman, and uploading it now. Personally i think it sounds alot better then the original. I'll post it in a few minutes so that you can hear the difference for yourselves.

Again; Not doing this to spite anyone. And in the end it's just a matter of taste. Those of you that like these new versions can download them, and those of you that don't can enjoy the "old" version. Also i'd like to say that i don't wanna take the spotlight away from the ones responsible for this recording. Without them, i couldn't have been doing this in the first place. Good work!

Here's the tune ->

I got it and will check it out as soon as Un Chien has finished (btw, very funny: at ca. 29:00 a guy shouts of excitement, and another one replies: "'Maul!" - (shut your) mouth! ...lol)

I find the recording listenable, but would be very pleased with a little GBD-polish. The sound isn't perfect, but it has a damn good setlist smiling smiley

Got that one over night, and at first I have to say - it's not that bad, it's listenable, so very very thank you for recording and sharing to the person who did this.

And now to Golden Blissard Demon.... OH-MY-FUCKING-GOD... you did perfect work, Triggerman sounds 100 times better than the original, now I think it's VERY good quality. So my question to you... would you please, please, please, do the same thing with the other songs and upload for us? You would be my hero.

Thanks in advance,...

I've already made my own version of the set. A taste can be found on my previous post (Triggerman).

It's no wizardry, just alittle plug-in frenzy. On this one, i've used Waves Paragraphic EQ, Chorus, Stereo Imaging and Puncher. All through wavelab. The only thing i'm worried about is that the treble level won't sound authentic to how the real concert sounded. But on the other hand, the original rec lacks treble bigtime.
So in many ways i cant fail smiling smiley

it is indeed an improvement to a very difficult recording, though as you mention the treble is all in your face. if you could provide the equalized version as flac too that would be greatly appreciated...

i second that, alex. a flac-version would be great. and before you ask, yes i can hear the difference.

Good to hear that you made the whole concert... would you please upload it? I would be very thankful...because I don't know how to do that for myself..

I'll see what i can do. I can try pushing down the treble abit, and make a new tester (and upload a song here for you to try out). But you'll have to give me till tonight. No time before that..

@GBD:
Thanks for your work (and thanks to the taper and Alex, of course), I am also looking forward to the polished version. I go with high bitrate mp3 (alt preset extreme or something like that in lame).

I really doubt that there are people who can actually hear a differnce between the flac version and a high bitrate mp3. Some time ago there was a really big codec test in germany's most renonwed computer magazine (c't) where mp3, ogg and wma was tested in different bitrates. Participating were musicians (rock, pop and classic), music technicians, people working in sound engeneering and so on. If I remember correctly not ONE of these people could tell the difference between a 192kbit mp3 recording and the uncompressed original not even if it was their own music.

I think it is more a psychological thing, if you think you can hear the difference (not speaking about low bitrate mp3 here, of course).

I, for one, can here a disinct difference between a 192kbit-mp3 and a flac, using my AKG K701-headphones. the most notable difference is that the mp3-file lacks dynamics, and low-level detail is missing. however, most people won't hear this i guesstongue sticking out smiley

the un chien is AMAZING, btw. So is the wheel. øyvind is really well-integrated in the band by now, much more so than in trondheim; he puts out some really nice spacy sounds...smiling smiley

I can't seem to make this work for me. It is done in like 3 seconds and then I have a file that is way to small to be a concert. When I try to listen to it I am not able to open it.

I was able to listen to yousendit file's and the rapidshare works fine as well. How come this one doesn't work? Does anyone have an answer?

Thank you.

copy & paste from another thread here:

You need a client like Azureus. Thats a bit-torrent based program which allows you to download that file. the torrent file you have is just to give the client the information what he should download.

simply google for azureus, install it, and open the torrent file you got. most certainly you have to forward some ports in your firewall/router to ensure best capabilities.

download willtake some time due to its size, let the program work over night, this should be adequate. i got that one in about 10 hours I guess.

Thanks for the detailed info.

I won't be able to do this though. I have a very limited download capacity and this would surely go past that. Thanks anyway.
