Bootlegs
December 04, 2006 12:00AM
Hey, as a "new" Psycho-fan I am very interested in bootlegs of the group as I now am compleeting my Motorpsycho collection. Well, Ì barely listen to other bands at the moment and I reaaly wished I had some Live-recordings of them (and I do know about the Roadworks collection).
So, the question is: Is there any stores or places I can get Motorpsycho-bootlegs in Oslo, Norway?

You can get lots online. Try www.dimeadozen.org !

Actually Motorpsycho is a rare band who seldom has bootlogs which sell at the stores. It means that there's very good fan community like Dead heads, it will help you to get those recordings, I believe.

Personally I like to have CD`s in real format even if it is a bootleg. But, is there not any stores selling Motorpsycho-bootlegs???
Anyway, thank you for the links, I cant wait to check them out!!!

Then a second question. I`ve noticed that there are some songs which has been left out on the Demon box CD version. How can I get them?

these days it's quite rare for bootlegs to come in a 'real' format. pretty much all european stuff is burnt on cd-r or pressed on a very cheap low quality cd with shambolic artwork. the only good quality bootlegs come from japan. but they cost a fortune and focus on the popular bands (pink floyd, led zeppelin etc.) bands only.

as for demon box mountain is on the mountain ep. gutwrench and dr who can onky be found on the long out of print vinyl version of demon box.

You should definitely get all the EPs. There is a incredible treasury on them. I would be interested in knowing what you've got right now to maybe give you some advice what to get next.

For some reason I have lots of troubles downloading Torrents from Etree with azures. And I started wondering, a few months back there were a few rapidshare download thingies on here, why ísn't that down any more?

those links usually expire after a while. also try updating your bt client for better results. btw, etree has banned mp from their tracker, though the existing ones remain, i believe...

Are you sure the remaining ones are still active? I am/was downloading a gig from 96 and the Darmstadt gig of 2006 for which I used a link on your blog. I can't get them to finish up sadly enough.

I know they expire that is a shame, but at least I was able to download them without a problem. hahahaha. Oh well.

ever heard of a tool called google? winking smiley

i suggest turning to etree for help:

http://www.etree.org/shncom.html
http://wiki.etree.org/

you might also want to educate yourself on flacs, you will come across that format sooner or later...

best,

Oh flacs weren't the problem. It was that SHN file, but I have that problem tackled now. I don't know how I did it, but I did.

You know what you are talking about, I don't know much about it. Infact I know so little that it all seems like abacadabra to me. To top it off I am dislexic so it is kinda hard to read stuff with so much words in it that I don't understand. Reading itself is something that needs my concentration, let along with all the terms an phrases that mean absolutely nothing to me.
So yes I know Google that isn't the hard part, it's what comes next that forms a problem. Etree and Wiki aren't any real help to me at all they speak a language I don't understand.

Thanks anyway.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

Here`s the albums I`ve got:
- Demon box
- Timothys monster
- Blissard
- Trust us
- Let them eat cake
- Phanerothyme
- Black hole/Blank canvas
- The tussler 2003 remaster

My absolutely favourite is Timothys Monster, wich I would place as one of the best albums I`ve ever heard. Then, we have Blissard, wich is a fantastic album, no weak songs and with masterpieces like Greener and The nerve tatoo, uuhhh... Then it`s getting hard to rank the rest, but Demon box, Trust us and Black hole/Blank canvas probably gets the next places. In fact I love all the albums and Motorpsycho is really turning into be one of my absolutely favourite bands.

I know I still have a far way to go, hehe... But to know there`s lots of Motorpsycho songs still unheard just makes me happy!!!

Yeah, I`ve already planned to buy this one the next time I walk into a record-store. But remember, I`ve bought all my albums in just 5 months so I need some time to enjoy them also :-)
