Well spotted. He looked quite mature already as a 4-5 year old (or whatever) though.

If Snah isn't a reliable source, then I don't know who is! smiling bouncing smiley

I wouldn't bet on that. Maybe it's become a running gag to the band too.
And a DVD now at the beginning of a new chapter in Motorhistory feels kinda odd...
What would they put on it? Live footage and old clips with Gebhardt & Jacco?

Is that all you could come up with...? Expect a bit more creativity than that...

Holy shit, this is the best news I've heard in a long fucking time. Trippy, long, hard fuzz rock? Hell yeah! Minds must be blown.

it is a bit odd to think they alternated between spending time on the dvd, which will cover the past, and working on their future with kenneth.

maybe the dvd has been ready for a while as far as mp are concerned, but they were waiting for someone to finish their part (lay-out, production, artwork etc.), or maybe they were not ready to release it before?

that's not the point. the timing would just be bad. or do you think they'd put on one of their current gigs? that's what I'd call not very imaginative.

Well it's the perfect time to release the DVD, what with the new permanent drummer and all. They have put Gebhardt behind them, so to say, and it's time to close that chapter. (Not that Gebhardt quitting is a good thing, but you get what I'm trying to say)

cool! i guess one more daemon is from Paradiso, Amsterdam, 2002-11-23, according to dampsaba. and the comments seem to confirm this (!):

The bad thing yesterday was of corpse this stupid giraffe of a camera-guy who had to stand in my way for the first half of the show...

great version, imo. really exited about the dvd now! the comments during mad sun are quite hillarious.

Yeah, apparently Geb had herpes when they filmed Mad Sun. So he couldn't crack a smile even if he wanted to grinning smiley

Hey, the STICKMAN-NEWSLETTER FOR DECEMBER just arrived in my mailbox!
And here is the part about MOTORPSYHCO:

MOTORPSYCHO is what’s on many of your minds these days. At the moment the band is on the road in Norway with their amazing new drummer Kenneth Kapstad. He seems to be impressing the hell out of most people and Bent and Snah have called him “a keeper” as well. Other than tonight in Oslo, you also have a chance to see them in Den Haag on the 15th. The band is also busy working on new material both in and out of the studio and we’re very excited about that!

And the Motorpsycho DVD? Yes, I have something to announce about that as well. (Can you tell I’m enjoying dragging this out?) It’s *this* close to being done and the only thing keeping me from giving you the release date is the fact that it is being sent in to be scrutinized by a possibly quite unenthusiastic government official for the “age rating” and we’re not sure exactly how long that will take. As the “f-word” is said only once (we counted) and there is no political dodginess, ultra-violence or nudity taking place, we’re sure that even the youngest of you will soon be allowed to get the DVD from the store of your choice without having to drag your mother along (because how uncool is that?).

But no fear, this is all happening within the next several weeks and we are planning on releasing it in early 2008. In order to give you something solid: the title of the DVD is “Haircuts”. And when you watch all the videos that have been recorded through the years the title makes a lot of sense.

Jesus Christ what a concert!
Best Motorpsycho show since years. Kenneth enjoys so much playing in the band and the trio has never been such a unit. Serpentine has been played as blues in half the speed and on the Vortex Surfer Bass line. A lot of improvisations for example a kind of unknown Who/ Hendrix medley.
What a petty I didn`t deceide to go to Trondheim today. Watch out Psychonauts Motorpsycho is back and heavier and better than ever.
What a concert...almost three hours.
It`s a lifeschtile.

thank you for the link from facebook, otherdemon, it's nice to see the mad sun version in full color now, always used to be one of my favorite motorpsycho-filmings
