@4 long songs: it says so in that ballade article:

My norwegian really isnt that good, but that translates to something like "Little Lucid Moments consists of four long tracks and will come as CD and double LP" winking smiley

There is no other band in the world that could make a 10-15 minute song interesting. Thinking of tunes like The Wheel, Giftland, The golden core, Un chien d`espace, Vortex surfer and Taifun. Four songs like that on the same album....some may say that it`s a bad idea, but I feel confident that the album will be a great prog-ride. The "song" they played at Rockefeller before christmas sounded fantastic. I cant wait....

What I think is cool and what MP prove again that you cannot expect anything from them. Watching those bootleg vids from the latest concerts I had never thought they would do an album with 4 long tracks. That new song was always just a medley or something like that for me. And that´s what I really like them for.
And "Little Lucid Moments" is truly one of their best album titles! Looking forward!!

You mean that was medley from the long songs to come? I suppose there won't be 4 long songs, but different parts segued and/or culminated into 4 tracks. Some may be only 2 minutes, some riffs may be repeated later. So somehow exactly like that medley... I'd like that.

It makes more sense considering this article: [url]http://www.adressa.no/kultur/article989528.ece[/url] where Snah describes the new stuff as "trio based rock with lots of distorion and fuzz", at least more than the idea of an epic space bonanza album suggested on g35. (If you read this, Alex: good for you if I'm wrong smiling smiley)

i think the idea behind that could be to mimic the experience of listening to the vinyl-version. you know, like each of the four tracks being one side, containing a couple of songs. so you are forced to listen to at least one "side" as a whole or you leave it. cool idea, although it might become a little annoying in the long run. looking forward anyway.

Like the album I mentioned earlier, LoveSexy by Prince. Not my cup of tea at all, but my sister bought this 20 years ago or something, and I remember being both fascinated and annoyed by the fact that you couldn't skip songs at all, because the whole album was only ONE track, haha.

I think i'm gonna make a MP3 version of the album aswell, and split the different songs into sections, so that i can listen to whatever i want, without having to skip back and forth all the time. Looking forward to this new release like never before!!!! Sweet shit!

I think this is a conseptual rock-opera! 4 long songs, possibly medley-type, definitely conceptual. And they played a Who-cover on the last mini-tour, didn't they, inspired by the close encounter with the Who last summer? Well, I don't need any more clues.
