Just a little hint regarding the article. Although the album sounds more and more promising as new interviews and reviews are posted, the article also gives hints towards the upcoming DVD (which they state will be released in April, not may). Sadly (imho), it states that the DVD will contain all their promo videos from the 90's plus a concert performance from 2002. I just pray to god (even though i don't believe in one) that the concert they're referring to isn't the Paradiso gig from that year. I've practically watched that gig to death, and so i'm ready for some new live material. And the videos aren't exactly candy for me, as i've watched them all numerous times. I was hoping for a more documentary like DVD, with studio footage, various live things and such.

Well, guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, i've pre-ordered the CD from Rune Grammofon, and await my mail call with a racing pulse and a hope for kick ass psychedelia!

By the way HappyKnappy: Just a matter of opinion i guess. Semes like more ppl fancy MP as a Rock act, then a fancy Pop act. Not to say that they didn't do some nice stuff on those records. I like many of the songs on there. But if i had to choose, i'd go with the raw psychedelic Rock that they're famous for, instead of the popish "music to make out with your girlfriend to" aproach.

I don't think it will all be the Paradiso 2002 concert.
The version of Plan #1 that's been previewed is from Trondheim 2000.
But I guess the Paradiso 2002 gig will be the most dominant feature...

The best interview ever in Dagbladet? The sad thing is however that I can't find that on the web, nor can I find the Aftenposten article and review. And you don't easily get Norwegian papers around here. I know it is a lot to ask, but could a transcript, a scan, anything really, be possible? (Kunne forresten skrevet på norsk her ser jeg nå.) A lot of non natives would probably love a translation as well, but that is really a lot to ask. We're all dying for interviews, reviews, articles, commentaries now. Mediawise, MP fans have been starving since, well, 2002 or something. So, please, bring it on! Any effort will be immensely appreciated!

What about the This is Motorpsycho documentary, I was hoping for that on the dvd. If not, maybe someone can upload it somewhere, if they dont put it on the dvd I cant see it surfacing in the near future. Has anyone got it digitally? I think the threat of lawsuits is a bit far fetched, esp for a band like mp whose fans buy everything they release in all formats. If you download the mp catalogue on priate bay it means 1. that it makes you a mp zombie, which will make you want the originals anyway or 2. you have everything on lp/cd and its easier to download everything instead of doing all the work yourself. In a few years, if there is such a thing as first generation mp3s I guess they will end up with ridiculous prices on ebay as well winking smiley

Oh, and by the way. I've kinda listened a lot to the '02 Paradiso gig as well, but man, the way they absolutely nail Stained glass, Hogwash and 577 - I could listened to those in eternity. Holy m****rf***in' christ, they're good! I wouldn't mind having them in top notch quality DVD format. A lot of the other stuff on that concert is quite mediocre (I mean, Circles, to name only one, man, that's a shitty song), though.

I should add - maybe MP should think of first gen mp3s, it would be right down their alley. And, Welsh Rabbit, I read the Dagbladet article and it was indeed great to hear Bent open his mouth again. Some insights into their pop period which almost broke up the band, though saying that it was a step in the wrong direction is maybe reading too much into it. I guess it was necessary, and todays direction would not had happened without it. He also mentioned the benefits of being on Rune Grammofon, saying that it meant a better and more credible exposure to a new audience in the UK and US, something a "has been grunge band on a german indie label" didnt do. I think Rune must be perfect for MP now, its like the Grateful Dead ending their career on ECM, would have been nice!! Apart from that, not much new in the article, though it was a nice read, though a bit long to translate!

Thanks. (It's Rarebit, not Rabbit by the way. Kind of Welsh national dish. Well, just a sandwich really.) Shame on Dagbladet and Aftenposten who don't put it out on the web, then.

..i just came back from nepal a few days ago and remembered (forgot for a couple of days, with the upcomming consert and all) that its only a few days till the release. whooho. actually what made me think of motorpsycho too night was a song i was listening to by abunai; 'cosmo gun' which was pretty similar to 'starmelt love light', and that brought me here..and now im listening to the paradiso gig which i havent listened to for a while. wouldnt mind haveing it on a high quality dvd. actually my copy of it is only half the consert, so.. (circles is a beautiful song in its simplicity imo. bubbles. atoms. planetary systems, heh. think in circles, walk in circles (to get wuzzie if no weed. (great hasj in nepal btw))..and then watch pi the movie). havent seen all the videoes either, so thats great news for me.

im starting to get desperate for the new album, i think i may have been waiting for it since 'trust us'. release the 31. on rune grammofon and the 28. on stickman. dammit. sending in a preorder now...first time i've preordered..

LOL! I agree. Almost freaking me out when thinking about it! eye popping smiley

Btw, when writing this I have Taifun going on full blast in the background and IMO it's one of the best MP songs ever! Hell, Trust Us is THE best MP album ever! It just hasn't got one weak track. If I was to vote for one old song on the upcoming tour that they haven't done in a long time it would be Taifun.

Motorpsycho
Little Lucid Moments

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!
(cpa)

yes yes yes. toatlly agree. like this one best too, along with Timmy.
how music and lyrics work together in Taifun is nothing less than brilliant. and live, when they push it's climax with the moog pedals! oooh be strong my silly heart. they must dig this one out again.

Note about 577: some time ago I was driving my car when I saw a parked car having 577 as number plate. I've always been dreaming about it! I instantly stopped in the middle of the street and took a pic of it tongue sticking out smiley Lucky me, there was no one behind me...MP causes car accidents eheh

Hey Captain Aubrey! Thanx for the link! I don´t understand a word of it but the excerpts of the new album sound quite cool. kind of modern imo.
But Bent´s beard is horrible! Who made him wear this? It looks totally uncool!
