also, is anyone travelling there from the amsterdam area and care to travel together? looks like i'll be going by train, unless someone has a car seat to fill (please pm me!)

don't know if i can get there early, but i like the idea. i'm from eindhoven so travelling together/transport is not an option.
a place you could go to is 'cafe lafolie'. it's bar with usually pretty good (rock) music. you can sit outside there. (after the fnr-gig last year MP showed up there). The fnr also has a terrace..

hmm, i'm from Leeuwarden and am going by train. I still don't have a place to sleep....i will probably walk through eindhoven all night aftewards.....

Stratumseind is an option too, Cafe Altstadt (they play rock) (Stratumseind is the street with the most bars in NL i believe)
And then there's Rockcafe The rambler at the stationplein.

so i am travlling from Leeuwarden too Eindhoven tonight. I have no place to sleep, so some good suggestions or some company afterwards (it looks like i will be spending te night in bars until i can cath the first train...) would be great. Café Lafolie sounds good for after-show drinks.

Krist, keep in mind it's a weeknight and that means the Effenaar closes at midnight and all bars, including the 'rock & roll' ones mentioned so far close at 2. It will be a very long three + hours til the first train and you do not want to roam around downtown let alone hang out near the station, especially not if you are all spaced out on Motorpsycho and whatever else. Do yourself a favor, how often do you travel such a long distance for a special show, just book a hotel or b&b already! The Eindhoven VVV site has plenty of inexpensive options. HAVE FUN!
