I also think it's Timothy Leary. But the monster might be that he
with LSD created a monster. And the smiling face on the cover...
LSD all the way thumbs up smiley

I'm sure our guys don't endorse leary's view on lsd and the likes. He was a cia servant,he wanted achieve control over people's minds and souls. For those out there who are sceptical, please trawl the net, google mk ultra project and be disgusted...

can't find any Leary references in lots of MK-Ultra articles yet...

me neither. exept one congress mentionend in lutz dammbecks "das netz" where some cia guys meeting with leary and scientists and philosophers who where researching about lsd, mindcontrol, and system theorie.
and if i remember it right, leary´s project in harvard was somhow supported by the cia and they did some psychological tests on students under the influence of lsd. but i doubt, that leary was directly involved in the mk-ultra project. otherwise he perhaps would have said: turn on, tune in and do what you´re beeing told. or something like that winking smiley

hmmm. very interesting, but somehow it is impossible for me to figure out what was really going on. maybe they found a method to get him working on mkultra-studies after he had the trouble with the prison and so on. who knows what they told him, and how powerful they were/are to even break a guy like t.l. so in the end i don't know, but the whole story is interesting.

That's the trouble with information overload on the net. It's impossible to know what exactly is true from articles that sometimes plain contradict each other.
Personally I have a hard time believing Leary would consciously (haha) help out on CIA projects. I mean, this is mister "Think for yourself. Question authority" we're talking about. The other way around, it is not hard to imagine agencies like that trying to abuse his work for other purposes... hey maybe we can have a nice little conspiracy theory right here! smoking smiley
