MP to record with Steve Albini for three days!!!!!!

Hey folks,

Does anybody know if there is news of these recordings?

I dreamt that they would be selling the Albini stuff at the fall tour to surprise us. Hope this one comes true!

well, it seems it was just like said in some interviews. they really know that the sound is good, then they need to find out that it is gonna be the material which is OK to release or no. so just cross our finger and wish that it would be come out : )

Two of my most favourite bands (Steve Albini: SHELLAC) are working together!
Can't wait to see what comes out of that!
Shellac shows in Berlin for example are always sold out (something you might know already from Motorpsycho, hm?). I will see Shellac in Glasgow in a few weeks and all I can say to everyone who don't know what that is about: Take a chance and get their music!

I don't want to spoil your enthusiasm, but as I understand Albini will only record our boys. There's no Shellac/Motorpsycho project. And since Albini is known for not interfering at all with the music but for recording a band as pure and natural as possible, I guess this will result in 100% motorpsychodelics as we know it. Which isn't too bad a thing.

just came back from Tokyo joined Shining show and met Ken the sound guy for MP..he didn't join the show in Aas, tour with Shining for a while.
he told me that the material with Albini is really really great, even he also doesn't know it will come out or no. also Albini was not a producer for that recording, if you say...it means that Albini was much more like just an engineer for the recording. he said anything about the music of MP...so the recording should be real good sound with totally Motorpsychodelic songs. i really hope it will be released in the near future.
