Motorpsycho + Deathprod 23. august

Tonight's gig was really a demonstration of how long MP can stretch it if they're in the mood.

Un Chien was awesome, one of the very best versions I've ever heard. Apart from the sound
problem mentioned, this was close to perfect. Kenneth's drumming was truly dynamic here,
ranging from small cymbal taps to bashing the shit out of his drumkit! Not one note wasted.

Demon Box was also good. Of course one could tell that they hadn't played it live in 14 years,
but that's nitpicking. Snah and Bent shared vocal duties, all hell broke loose in the mid-section,
and they ended it with the piano/violin recording like on the album.

The downer was that they came on stage again, and everyone thought they'd do another song.
Instead they just thanked the venue for inviting them over.

Great stuff nevertheless, and for free!

Longhorn bass... cooooooooooool...

The concert was fucking awesome. I remember the drummer from the GÃ¥te gig I was at some years ago, so that was cool too. He did some sick shit on the avant-gardeish parts.

Un chien (and the long jam-parts) was hypnotizing! Great!
Demon box was`nt that good. The sound was horrible at some parts, and I think the "spacejamming" was boring.
Very wierd to see MP+deathprod come on stage after demon box, and everyone expected more. That was a downer...

yeah, it did seem a bit drawn-out at some spots, but it was pretty cool.

Wrong. That was actually his Jerry Jones Longhorn 6-string guitar.
He used it everytime they played Un Chien in 2006.

I really hope they're bringing Deathprod with them on their next tour. I'm really sad I couldn't go. Sounds like this could've been my favorite MP concert ever.

He used it quite a few times back in mid-90's. I also saw him at Rockefeller spring 2006
playing it during Before The Flood.

Other than that, it probably has been collecting dust @ Svartlamo'n

You can also see it in Noorse van Helden, on his wall. Maybe This is Motorpsycho as well, during one of the live sequences, can't remember.

Anyone have an idea what guitar Snah is playing?
It's a blonde ES-335'ish type of guitar, with an 'S' on the headstock...

He's actually talking about a custom-made guitar in a recent interview, maybe it's this one?
