A few Months after the cologne show in may, some of us talked about the amazing effects snah used during the concert...

i dont know if it was the same effect style but on Little Lucid Moment, track 3 (she left on the sunship) there is a sound i need to do by meself.... it starts on 4.00 minutes when the flanger starts and fades on until 4.28... And then... The guitar sounds Excatly like a constant Sirene...
and not just a normal siren... i bet my ass of it is inspired by the Sirene the Morloks use in H.G. Wells time mashine to call the eloi....
than it breaks after 10 or 20 seconds..

Now i like to know if any of you guitarplayers knows how he made excatly that sound and what kind of chord he grabs if it is possible to say....

The sirene starts on 1.41 minutes.

I hope the sound is not that crappy as on my headphones....

And by the way, if i cant make the sound that way...
is there a guitar multieffect machine who can be used just like a sampler with a keyboard...?
I mean no sound of the guitar gets transformated... the guitar just gives the note and the sound comes from the machine..
so i could load a wave file of the sirene and play it just like with a keyboard, only by guitar.

I don't know exactly what he uses, but judging by the sound, it might seem like he's using a combination between flanger, chorus and sustain.

You mean a combination of flanger chorus and sustain ... ?
I hope somebody can figure it out by looking at what hes doing on the upcoming tour...

I'd like to help but I don't hear what you mean.... I can only imagine you mean the feedbacked and sustained last note, which he may play by only touching the string lightly above a fret (don't know the correct english word for this technique) and lots of volume and overdrive and maybe reverb.or chorus... Isn't there even a loop fed with that lick? Then he may be doubling it by playing along.

To me, the guitar sound that "flangers" down, starting on 4.00 noises a few seconds constantly like this sirene from the movie Time Mashine (the you tube link ....) or just like a sirene....
You describe it correct. he maybe just strums ones and then the feedback and reverb and delay stuff pulls it on and on...
I ask myself it is possible to do that police siren effect of the you tube guitar lesson just with the wah pedal of my (shame on me) digitech multieffect box...

flagionettes, flanger, sustained and the right element on yr guitar might do it.

check out roadwork vol.1 first page youll find a complete map of the configuration including bass and drums etc...
