First of all; Yawn! It was a little more expensive then i'd hoped. Kind of strapped right now, so i guess i'll see about that in the near future

As for the music: I really wanna try out Bonny Lee, so if you're up for it, we can start working on that. I also use Ableton Live, so we can use that. Although i'll be using Renoise (my golden tracker) for beats and such. Gives me a shitload of control. But i'll render the loops from there, and set the whole thing up in Live. As for beats; I've got a drumset, but sadly, my flat isn't built for frantic drumming, so i've set it up at a friends house. These days tho i am using the VSTI "Tonetrack Superior Drummer 2". It's one of the best emulations i've seen so far (and it should be - it takes 18GB of space, and a shitload of cpu). But in the absence of a decent drummer, i thought we could use that. Or i could ask my good friend Stig Rune Holien (a kick ass drummer in Metrognom) if he wants to participate. Either way it'll be swell smiling smiley

Sorry,

but what's the point of this???

I think everyboy who participated on this release did a damn good job!!! You get the proof listening to the 5 tracks you get for free.

I mean, we also have to give our best for the upcoming tribute album.

But why always the attitude of "we will do it sooooo much better" ?????
Does this really matter? And will this really happen??

hmmm...

Hey, great idea! I wanna contribute to this. Probably solo, maybe with some folks. I don't know what song yet,
but some candidates off the top of my head:

* Feel (don't really know how I'd do it though)
* Before the flood (acoustic, if someone can help me with the chords, i've got the melody down and I'm pretty sure there's a maj7 chord of some sort dominating this one, but I haven't figured it out yet.. C#m > Amaj7 kinda seems to work right now.. compared to my memory, not the record)
* Sungravy (but that'd probably be very like the original, sans strings)

I'll think about it some more.

Doctor X, I like your idea about doing Before the Flood acoustic. I've been playing along to it a couple of times and I think I got the chord progression quite right, but I never wrote it down. I'll give it a go and see if I remember (and post it here). There's definitely a maj7 in there.

cheers

@ Supernaut: Ok change of plans: I've been sick for a week now, so i haven't done that much work. But just for fun, i tried fooling around with the main riff of Bonny Lee, and soon found myself writing the first minute of the tune. And now i wanna finish it. My TGC version (sort of an ambient version) is now in the bin, so i was wondering if you wanted to take a crachk at that one with me instead?

Not sure if I understand you correctly, goldenboy. So you wanna do Bonny Lee yourself and take TGC out of the bin (what's it doing there!?!?!?) to do it with me? That's ok, sure. Did you do any vocals already on this one?
Re: The New Motorpsycho Tribute Album

Well...my version of TGC is in the trash, cus i didn't like where it was heading. And since i got such a kick out of working on Bonny Lee, then i wanna try that one out for myself. So i thought we could start fresh with a new version of TGC. Are you with me now? smiling smiley
