Wow!
I guess it´s our MP we´re talking about here. (since all the all the talk about tr.heim and norway)

I´m an old DK fan, so i´m very curious and looking forward to hear this. Never heard of Patrik Fitzgerald.

All Sewn Up - A Tribute to Patrik Fitzgerald
"Finally the long overdue tribute album to UK's first (and one of it's finest) punk poets is starting to take shape. 33 years of songwriting will be coverd, from Patrik's 1976 Small Wonder demo's to tracks from His upcoming album "Subliminal Alienation". We will be announcing a little over 30 contributors over the next few weeks. You might think that some of the bands are fairly unknown and slightly Norwegian (well If You're not from Norwegia they might be) fear not, the album will be a good one. Why the work of Patrik is virtually forgotten or unknown over there in Blighty is a humongous mystery to us here at CGR. Hopfully this album will help set the record straight. On the other hand - if it only leads to a few lost souls stop listening to "New Rave" - our goal is partially reached. The release date is set to March 6 - to coincide with the world premiere of Dom Shaw's PF documentary "All the Years of Trying" at the Kosmorama Film Festival in Trondheim, Norway. "

Have anyone heard the Jello & melvins records?

It's a song by Dog & Sky, the band of Matt Burt (poet on Plan #1, True Middle) and Snah contributed on their latest release "Lhasa Express". Find this forum-topic here: http://motorpsycho.fix.no/comeonin/forums/read.php?1,51543,51595
... and it seems like he's also featured on this new tribute-song smiling smiley
For more Info about the album of Dog & Sky go here:

and for listening to a beautiful song of the "Lhasa Express"-album called "twilight" go here: http://www.myspace.com/dogsky
Can't get the melody out of my head after listening to it for the first time!
I am thinking of ordering this release winking smiley

Found a snippet in today's Dagsavisen:

Motorpsycho has recorded a song with punk-rebel Jello Biafra. The song is called "Punch" and is featured on
"All Sewn Up", a tribute album to punk-singer Patrick Fitzgerald. Jello Biafra is best known for being frontman of
Dead Kennedys who started up in 1979, and he is a big fan of Motorpsycho.

There were a few more lines in the snippet, but they were basically the same as what mötorbed posted.

Oh yes! This can be interesting!

Honestly, when i read this, my first impulse was to check if it's April 1st!
Jello, who loathes all nostalgia, who sung "70es Rock Must Die" is singing with a band that is so heavily influenced by all things 70es? What an unlikely combination!
But of course, from the unexpected come the most interesting results.

Also, together with the recent news about MP recording with Steve Albini, this makes me wonder what punk/hardcore legend's name we will read on these pages next. I am kinda looking forward to Motorfugazi :-D

Yes it was indeed world premiered on KWOD last night. And, well, what can you say? Great song! Psychopunk. Excellent! And Motorpsycho feat. Jello Biafra! How about that? More Punch on radios - now!

Now the next natural thing: a Motorjello Psychobiafra political spoken word/hardcore/psychojamming US tour? Motorpallooza. Ha ha.

some more info here:
http://www.nrk.no/musikk/1.6446774
in norwegian.

interesting:
Mr. Biafra didn't really have the time to do this, but when
he got to know what song it was and that Motorpsycho were
playing, he immediately said yes!

btw, I just remembered - somewhere (i think it was it on a commentary track on
Haircuts??) Bent refers to "The Ballad of Pat + Put" (from Hey Jane EP)
as "Patrik & Putrik". A reference to mr. Fitzgerald perhaps?
