actually I'm really into flaming lips...zaireeka spaced me out!!! btw I'm also listening to 35007, sonic youth, dinosaur jr, husker du, sunn O)), mogwai, melt banana, bjork, dEUS, my bloody valentine, radiohead, amplifiers, kyuss, grateful dead, doors, melvins, tool...

Zaireeka... hm, it left me behind wondering - what if there would've been really good songs on there? I really like the polyphonic idea, and had a great experience listening to it, but the songs itself didnt get through to me, they all seem to be unfinished. But, listening to The Soft Bulletin in 5.1 sound is THE perfection - as good as it gets, really.

Anyway, some of MY favourite bands:
New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Einstürzende Neubauten, dEUS, Kraftwerk, Calexico + Giant Sand + Howe Gelb, The Notwist, Die Ärzte, The Sisters of Mercy, Isolation Years, The Flaming Lips, Can, Manic Street Preachers, R.E.M., Naked Lunch, Rammstein, Squarepusher - etc. etc. - just about everything goes, eclectic style is a must. Just bought three jazz cds yesterday. Oh well, they were cheap.

Some bands I like for the time being:

Sonic Youth, Jesus & Mary Chain, Tom Waits, Beck, XTC, Hüsker Dü, Arcade Fire, Nick Drake, Pink Floyd, Love, Stooges, Calexico, Velvet Underground, John Coltrane, Modest Mouse, Pavement and tons of others. Loads of classic rock, 80s/90s alternative, some of the nowadays indie and various other experimental bands.
