What are your favorite actual bands these days beside MP?

I'm listening a lot to old bootlegs for the time being, especially:
- Frank Zappa 70'ies boots
- Genesis 70'ies boots (up to Trick of the Tail)
- The Greatful Dead early 70'ies
- Allman Brothers mostly boots with Duane still alive, but also some later stuff
- Grand Funk Railroad 70-mid 70'ies boots
- Hawkwind mid-70'ies boots (just starting to get into this stuff)

I'm very attracted to the jammed out concerts (like the usual MP concert). I'm especially happy about discovering early Allman Brothers. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the first MP LLM-tour recording to surface.

Just realized how wonderful the whole thing together actually is, leaning back in the right mood... quite technoide! And there's even a slight S.T.G.-feeling if you listen to the guitars ;-)

What early stuff can you recommend? The only material I listened to so far is "At Fillmore East" (live) which I checked out because of "In memory of Elizabeth Reed" (which MP covered). I like that song but most of the other songs did not really catch on...

just reserved a ticket to the Oslo show of the swedish band The Soundtrack Of Our Lives - went for a walk with their Welcome To The Infinite Freebase album on my iPod. Genius!

Isis, Mogwai,Sonic Youth, Black Mountain, Radiohead,Neurosis and MP are the ones most played on the ipod.

Else Godspeed Your Black Emperor, Sigur Ros's old work, Bach, Pink Floyd with Waters inside.
Neurorium and so much more.
