I've been listening to a couple of norwegian bands like:
-Cadillac
-Sanderfinger
-BigBang
-KÃ¥re & The Cavemen/Euroboys
-Turboneger
-Cato Salsa Experience
-Johndoe

But of course course I listen a lot to:
-Led Zeppelin
-The Who
-The Beatles (Revolver, their best album)
-Pink Floyd
-King Crimson
My fav Bands at the moment

-Alice In Chains (always on top)
-Kyuss
-El Caco
-Grand Funk Railroad
-A Perfect Circle
-Leaf Hound
-Groundhogs (hogwash,Spilt)
-Days Of The New
-The Mormones
-Tool
Some of my favourite bands

Mogwai
Godspeed you black emperor
Sigur ros
Built to spill
Tom Mcrae
Explosions in the sky
King Crimson
...and you will know us by the trail of dead
Muse
Sonic youth
Nick Drake
Dipsomaniacs
Tool
Allman Brothers
QOTSA(although I'm getting a bit bored of them at the moment)

+ plenty other bands.
Lobotomizer: Here's an oddy for you!

If you dig El Caco, you gotta check out the band Plywood (formerly anders::plywood)! Thomas from El Caco drums for them, but that's beside the point. Their guitarist and singer, Trym Hagen used to front one of the best bands I've ever seen live (and I've seen a couple of hundred gigs); Psychocop. This band, who broke up last year, played the purest, most overwhelming stoner-rock I've ever witnessed. The very first time I saw them, at a small venue in Loerenskog, Norway, I broke down and cried. They only played a handful of gigs, and I was lucky enough to see them about four times before they called it a day.

They were a one in a million-band, and if you ever come across any of their stuff (couple of demo's floating around), do yourself a favour.

Just a tip from my hat! smiling smiley

Right now I feel FIREWATER is the best band on this planet,
but if I consider the works by MOTORPSYCHO in the 90s they are the best band,
but if I consider the works by JIM THIRLWELL (of Foetus, Steroid Maximus, Baby Zizanie and Manorexia fame) in the 80s and 2000s (and forget his somewhat average 90s phase) he is *the* musical genius ever,
but when my yearly FRANK ZAPPA phase takes over I consider his music to be the absolute best stuff ever recorded...
Depending on my mood Michael Gira's music steps in. After all, THE SWANS released shitloads of fantastic records. I guess Michael Gira is for me what for many Motorpsycho fans Neil Young is.
Einstürzende Neubauten (indeed arne, the supporter-album is great!!!), The Kills, The Immortal Lee County Killers, Datsuns, Raveonettes, but also Interpol, Radio 4, and still lots n lots of Kyuss, QOTSA, Hermano, etc etc
