my list differs a bit.

my three faves were (and they are still on rotation):

michaela melian - baden-baden
coco rosie - la maison de mon reve
holly golightly - slowly but surely

but the following albums delighted me too(without any ranking):

stina nordenstam -the world is saved
björk - medulla
interpol - antics
rufus wainwright - want two
devendra banhart - rejoicing in the hands
devendra banhart - nino rojo
elliott smith - from a basement on the hill
destroyer - your blues
the black keys - rubber factory
the fiery furnaces - blueberry boat
sufjan stevens - greetings from michigan
ben weaver - stories under nails
joann newsom - the milk-eyed mender
kreidler -eve fututre recall
the dresden dolls - same

and sure i liked franz ferdinand's debut lp also.

what a fantastic music year with a lot of different kind of gems.

and the new one seems to start as well as the last ends: the new ...trail of dead lp will be released in two weeks....

many greetings

Love and Peace...!

1. Wilco - A ghost is born
2. Arcade Fire - Funeral
3. Modest Mouse - Good news for people who love bad news
and i guess we also can add Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain LA Desert (deluxe version) on this list. One of the greatest pop records in the history with a lot of bonus songs...

the years best download
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot demo

And i guess 2005 will be a hell of a year. new albums from trail of dead (it's just fucking amazing. I guess a lot of mp fans will love this), Spoon, Broken Social Scene etc...

My two cents:

The Dillinger Escape Plan - Miss Machine
Beefheart gone hardcore

Tom Waits - Real Gone
Finally a worthy sequel to 'Bone Machine'

Soulwax - Any day now
Belgiums hottest band since dEUS

And of course: all the albums I forgot (sitting at work & not seeing my collection).
