Munich Concert reports!

last night mp played munich. i wasn´t sure to go or not to go, so at 10pm i did go to the venue (feierwerk) when they already played superstooge. now you should know i´m not too much of a mp fan/listener, but they where an important band during an important time in my life, now not anymore, just a musicial/personal decision. so i got there, but i didn´t feel like paying 30 dm and i didn´t feel like being surrounded by an audience in a very small venue, i didn´t feel like noise, and i didn´t feel like breathing in the pot-filled air. so, what i did is, i parked my car directly at the venue´s window, where the sound was superb, opened my windows and listened for an hour or so. it was really relaxing, just sitting there in the cool night air and just listening to some good music. no, as i´m a live tape collector, i had my stereo cassetteplayer with me, and of course i taped some of the show, out of my car´s window. so there you have it, the first mp field-recording, just like those old blues records where made. the tape itself is not really worth a listen or even a trade, especially during the more silent parts of the songs. the funny thing is, the venue is next to the railroad, so there´s the occasional railroad noise between songs which is pretty funny. as i am not too familiar with the songtitles anymore, i don´t know the setlist, but here´s what i have:
superstooge
watersound
nerve tatoo
and several others
i guess it was a stable show, some good musical highlights, but not the best i´ve heard, anyway, hope to have entertained you some with my little story

Well, no Munich concert report out of a car but one of the darmstadt concert out of the crowd. First of all I've got no set list. Sad for the statistic freaks, but I don't care about that that much. I'm a huge Motorpsycho fan, that's for sure and it was my 8th concert I've been to, but don't ask me for setlists, I don't even know all the song names of the records.
Anyway, more important is what you feel during their concerts and yesterday it was just awesome. I've never seen the guys in such a happy mood like yesterday. Joking, smiling and jumping around. They definitely had a lot of fun yesterday, maybe a reason why they played so long. Around 150 minutes and especially the second encore was pure rock. I thought already they would never stop. If you're really IN the concert, 150 minutes can be really exhausting.
Well okay, some songs I can remember. They played most of the new one (still can't spell the word right), and of LTEC. some classics: Like always, all is loneliness, The one whon went away, Hey Jane... 2 covers I guess, High time and a new song. Nothing of T.Monster. Well, I was a bit disappointed about that. What would you say if you go to a Nirvana concert and they would not a single song of Nevermind? Anyway, they rocked and we had a lot of fun. And a lot improvisation stuff. Sometimes maybe a bit to long, but the smile on my face never disappeared.
Hope I can see them soon again. Keep the spirit alive.
Bye Kai
