The Hamburg setlist:

Giftland
Serpentine
The Other Fool
One More Demon
Song For A Bro'
Circles
For Free
Über Wagner
577
Blindfolded
The Skies Are Full Of ... Wine?
S'Numbness
Psychonaut

Sideway Spiral III
The Slow Phaseout
Snafu
You Lied

Fool's Gold

Four new songs plus the still unreleased "Snafu" (Shalala) - they sound more like alternative rock and not jazzy.

Überwagner is a development of an old, unreleased Motorpsycho song: The melody is taken from "Roger McGuinn" which was played in Haugesund 06-03-97 (a recording of this version exists).

The band is really in a good mood. The audience's favourite track was "Psychonaut" which was received warmly. I prefer the new tunes which are really good.

"Serpentine" is a song sung by Snah and introduced with a remarkable guitar lick.

"Circles" is a quiet tune (nearly acoustic). The chorus is remarkable (you can sing it after a few listen), too but not "poppy" like "Neverland".

"Über Wagner": the melody is taken from the old song "Roger McGuinn" but only the chorus and not the guitar licks.

"One More Demon": Baard's keyboards play the melody but don't worry: It is still a guitar song!

I can't wait for the next show (for me it is Mannheim)!

The concert was really good, very good setlist, more rock less jazz :-))

Song for a Bro' was very good again this time.
Only bad thing: The sound could have been better, maybe it´s a problem with the venue.

I am very satisfied and with Real Madrid beating Bayern Munich it was an almost perfect day yesterday...

still totally psyched, too - what a great concert of a wonderful band.
the improvisation in "song for a bro'" is so completely different and - brilliant,
"shalala" became a hell of a song thanks the new arrangement (wooow - what vocals!) in the second part, "Serpentine" shows Snahs in a new style, such valuable-fragile-melodic guitarplaying, and yes, "Giftland" / "Fools Gold" -

what can we say?

I need mooooore!

Thanks for the details Jürgen :-)
and Benna, too - always good to see Bavaria loosing ;-)

Absolutely entrancing... my third time to enjoy a motorpsychodelic live-performance & it´s always amazing - it took me the whole night to come down after the concert... - the best band I´ve ever known - I´m looking forward anxiously to hear the new album...
Don´t forget to play in Cologne once again... it´s a long way to go to Hamburg, even if it´s worth *g*
Best wishes - beepa

well, i have to disagree. it was still well..."song bro" with all that ugly noodling.

they took "song bro" to far out places last tour. there were some incredibly weird versions last tour (athens & darmstadt) & compared to those the current versions are plain coventional.

i'd say drop "song bro" already & extend "supertristano" for 10 min instead!

am much more curios about other connections with tristano than superstooge, was it You Lied I read in a setlist?
