@ andre, TGBD, magnusgabriel: Thanks you like the stuff! Really nice to hear that! I'm actually a drummer but yeah, the guitar I play is pretty much influenced by Snah. I really like his rhythmical skills. My companion is more the solo / melody type of guy or let's says, he's a real guitarist! We're trying to bring in a bassist at the moment, so we can do some real power-trio stuff!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)

I started with Let Them Eat Cake. Back then I was touring with my parents through Norway and I always had that album on my headphones during that trip. Don't know why but this made the country even more intensive to explore, I kinda thought this music fits very perfectly to that landscape. So I have to pick LTEC to my favourites just because of that. Otherwise I also have to count Trust Us to mby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)

This is one of the greatest news!!! I really like Steve Albini's approach to audio engineering and his recordings are just hi-fidelity to me!!! To get an MP release recorded by him in his studio (www.electrical.com) sounds so promising.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
I once heard Bent say in an interview that for a very good recording of a song that sounds like "being high" or "psychedelic" the performer should absolutely not be high in the moment of recording it. They surely did their drug thing every now and then but I think it's a matter of having control over it. You can go on stage drunk or high or whatever but you have to know howby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
The Bizarre gig is cool. A very fine Nothing To Say version with such a nice sax solo. Goto to Cal has a funny flute solo and Black To Comm rocks as always. And Tristano is very well played at this gig too. So it's cooool, get it!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
About MP recording the whole tour by themselves maybe for a new Roadwork: In Munich I recognized two microphones each one at the side of the stage, pretty much hid behind the curtains, which you normally use to record clapping and yelling of the crowd when recording live.... Hmmm.....by Daniel - Setlists (Old)
Wow! What a great concert! I stood right in front of Snah and could see everything he did with his effects and stuff. Amazing! I think during Sinful wind-born he changed sounds 15-20 times, not incuding pick-up switches! Soundwise we obviously had a little bit too much guitar and without ear plugs I definately would be deaf now! The crowd in Munich usually is pretty boring but I can't tell youby Daniel - Setlists (Old)

Personally I would like to hear The Slow Phaseout, Stained Glass, Blindfolded, Psychonaut, Ozone, Radiance Freq., Now It's Time To Skate, Watersound and The Golden Core.by Daniel - Setlists (Old)
Hey, just found that watching those Rockefeller clips: http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=xsFdzHQPfdc&feature=related How cool! But actually not much difference in sound and performance as MP does it.... Except the singing maybe.. sorry...by Daniel - Setlists (Old)
Jan Tore: You must be Snah's guitar-tech?!by Daniel - Setlists (Old)
Thanks for posting the setlist right after the concert! Looks cool, but they really could drop some songs like Neverland, You Lied, Black to Comm. I really like The Alchemyst as last song. And M.M.S. suits Kenneth pretty well probably.by Daniel - Setlists (Old)
Sitting here at work (nightwatch) I'm waiting eagerly for the first one to post something about the first gig of the tour...by Daniel - Setlists (Old)

I´m not the type of guy who thinks the vocals must always be perfectly in tune. It´s more important to get the feeling with the singing. But even though I agree also that sometimes they should be a little more concerned about their voice. Especially during the 2006 tour I thought "man, these parts just have to be practised a little more and they are cool!" Like the Refrain of Noby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)

I was not talking about an 80s gated reverb drum sound! Nooo, please not!! But just a little more open. Like on the last Foo Fighters record. It's dry but still very open (actually every song on it has a different drum sound which I think is pretty cool). Or take In Utero: That record has ultra tight drums but you can hear the beautiful reverb. Ok LLM is an prog-style-album but even Yes had a nicby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
If you might have Samplitude, there is the ability to set CD track markers and then directly burn the CD with the program. Very cool!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Now I also had several complete listens and it really grows. To The Alchemyst you can really imagine some freak out of control in his chemical lab. First when he steps into it checking what he can find and then in the end making a complete mess with all the substances! She Left On The Sun Ship has a heavy groove and a nice melody and a beautiful space out ending. Little Lucid Moments isby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Ah, just got my vinyl from Stickman!! Listening to Side A right now.... I already love that catchy melody and riff at the beginning! Very typical Motorpsycho. Ok, now the second part... Fast and furious, great Snah vox. I don´t find it that complicated structured yet. Tell more later.... Man it rocks!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)

I used to read Visions alot (I still have a HUGE pile of issues on my shelve) but at some point (like 5 years ago?) I didn´t like it anymore. It had got a little too commercial and I think they changed alot of their journalists. It surely had also to do with the fact that I wasn´t too much into the bands they were writing about then. But I pretty much liked that MP interview. There´s oby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
