About guitar set-ups, you know the GuitarGeek page? Shows the most famous guitar set-ups in a very cool way. Funny example, Eddie Van Halen: http://guitargeek.com/rigview/258/by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
@The Golden Blissard Demon There´s the ERNIE BALL EB6165. It´s a stereo volume pedal which you can set on "pan", so you can mix, for example, two amps fully adjustable. Very expensive but maybe that´s what you´re looking for.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
What I think is cool and what MP prove again that you cannot expect anything from them. Watching those bootleg vids from the latest concerts I had never thought they would do an album with 4 long tracks. That new song was always just a medley or something like that for me. And that´s what I really like them for. And "Little Lucid Moments" is truly one of their best album titles! Loby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
I saw Colour Haze is going to play there again too. This festival brought some fame to them 2 or 3 years ago. They´re a pretty good heavy psychedelic power-trio and friends of mine so you should check them out as well! Did some stuff with them too, so I will give you the very fresh myspace-site of my project http://www.myspace.com/dawnband which will also link you to Colour Haze.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Although I don´t like that "all-hippie-stuff" too much anymore I went to see "Focus" here in Munich last monday. Man, they were REALLY good! A friend brought me and I was first sceptical due to the fact that I was probably among the 3 youngest people in the crowd, just grey haired, old men who could be my fathers, sanctifing the good ol´ times... But it turned out to beby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
that show also has such a great version of stained glass. unbelievable!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
just dare to sing loud and powerful. if you´re save on the notes then just work on getting your voice out. yours is pretty good, just a little improvement and rehearsing is necessary in my opinion.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
yeah, it´s cool, guitars and everything. just a little more energy into the vocals then it´d be great!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Sure, there´s nothing compared to attending a concert in real. I would never judge any of the new stuff video cause it´s a bootleg and you really can´t hear much! But as a MP-fan you might be able to crystalize some good melodies and structures here and there and I also think they are very cool and we can expect a nice album! The singing, well, it´s not only out of tune sometimesby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
I like the Serpentine version but also think the singing doens´t fit exactly. But more because it´s not sung very well. Sometimes they should spend more time on practicing their singing. They can sing very well but especially during the 2006 tour I noticed that their singing was pretty much out of tune and Bent often forgot the lyrics during songs. I think that´s always a downer when youby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Beat The Street --> They don´t have MP on their client list, what a shame! But hey, I´d take the "Starbus"...by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
High Time... One of the best rock songs of the 90s. Just all in all a perfect song.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Yep, that sounds really cool indeed! I was pretty impressed by those video clips from the Dour festival already! And a The Who cover tune... Last night I fell asleeps in front of the TV, then woke up some hours later (it was maybe 1:00am) because of some loud music screaming out of the TV. It was the Who playing a German gig for the "Rockpalast"-program, should´ve been around late 70by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
I wasn´t at the Melt Festival but I attended that 2006 show in Brüssel and the sound was just crystal clear and perfect. I doubt that it really always depends on the sound engineer. I am one myself and sometimes (even though I haven´t got that much live experience) you just can´t do anything because of certain circumstances. And MP doesn´t make it very easy for the sound tech whenby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Sounds pretty cool even though there were a few mistakes done. They´re still new band. But does anyone know about the stream on nrk? I looked myself but I just can´t read any norwegian....by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Yeah, QOTSA don´t do it for me any more also... Check out new Brant Bjork --> Somera Sol. Pretty cool!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Does anyone know how to record that stream? Or has anyone planned to do that? Would be pretty cool, so everyone can watch and store this surely cool show!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
You can definately look forward to that, Gaspa!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
You can see they´re getting a little old... But they had full energy going on on stage, except for diving into the crowd or something of course... But they still have so much fun playing music, it´s so nice to see that because I kinda miss that in many new bands.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Hey, just saw Sonic Youth live here in Munich performing the whole Daydream Nation album. They played it just like on the record then came back for 5 or 6 more songs off of their new album Rather Ripped! Man, what a concert! I´ve never seen them live and you really need to, so you get that whole wall of sound experience. Just beautiful. Every MP-fan should check out this great band live. Impby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
It´s no matters if the drummer´s on the left, right or center as long as he plays good! It´s more a matter what the drummer contributes to the band. As posted before BH / BC has cool drums although Bent isn´t a better drummer than Jacco surely. But it´s got soul, it´s got energy, it´s got groove, it´s got something special. That´s what was lacking for me in Jacco´by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)

Agree.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
For me, especially the live shows weren´t what it used to be with Geb. Maybe the new drummer can make this up. I wouldn´t say it was such a regression with BH/BC but I miss a little but of that bliss MP always stood for. Also, soundwise this album is still partly kinda weird to me although a good number of tunes are just killer. But yes, maybe one disc would´ve been enough.by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Hey, didn´t see your post for a while golden blissard demon. nice to hear you like my stuff too. unfortunately i couldn´t download your contribution --> "file has expired"? i want to point to one more link of my page: http://www.thedawnland.de/equinoxshort.mp3 i did a cover of john coltrane´s "equinox" with bassist and guitarst of colour haze. maybe some know themby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
I don´t know the new drummer but I never found my way to Jacco´s playing. There were some cool moments here and there but overall he didn´t really do it for Motorpsycho. So I´m looking forward to this collaboration!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
It´s pretty much a Helmet style song done in a Motorpsycho way. Helmet is more to the point in this genre and had the ultimate drummer for riff music like this (John Stanier). Still the Motorpsycho version is very cool though!by Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
Hmm... yeah, that´s more you as I remember... To add to the actual topic: http://www.myspace.com/hainloose <-- my band http://www.thedawnland.de <-- my solo-projectby Daniel - Motorpsycho discussion (Old)
