Previously rather hard Motorpsycho are still hard. But in a different way. The rock has been really balanced and Phanerothyme gives us both caressing popharmonies from the 60's, fuzzy jazzgroove and 70's psychadelica. The band allow things to happen in the music and as a listener you are being surprised all the time in a really nice way. But above all – there's a hell of a swing and songs like The Slow PhaseOut and Go To California will probably last a long time.
