Well, I agree, to a certain degree. I also listen more to unofficial liverecordings. But that's mainly because there are more of them than Roadworks, I guess. And I don't think the RW's are "castrated".

The Roadworks are live ALBUMS as opposed to various unofficial recordings of shows.

When I wanna listen to a Motorpsycho-show, I put on a recording of a Motorpsycho-show (or go see them live if they are in the neighbourhood).

If on the other hand I wanna listen to a great live-album, I put on Roadworks 1 or 2.

My point being: They are two different things.

Btw. Rob, "encore break" rocks. Seen a lot of bands play it, don't know who wrote it. Trad. arr., probably..

Has anyone been to the concert in Tromsø last Friday?

Ahhhh.. The disappointments. The tourpage was quite unclear about what was "previous" and what was "upcoming" shows, so the thing is: they played Tromsø 04.02 LAST YEAR, (without Snah). At least I found out before turning up at the club..

Sucks, 'cause that gig was going to be my (oh so small) consolation for not going to any of the MP-shows in march.

I think the we can rule out the Øya-gig. That was a one-time-only thing, and though it might (I hope) get an official release sometime in the future, it sounds like rw4 is going to document how they sound after Kenneth got house-warm. So I would put my money on 4 or 5 loong, loud and mainly new songs clocking in around 70 min. Unless it's a double. Or more.

oh the excitement. Just waiting for a Tromsø-date to pop up there somewhere between oslo and trondheim, seems to be alot of available dates atleast. Looks like I can't make it to Rockefeller this time, so a northern show is of the uttermost importance!

(and goddamn you, Bergen.. looks like I picked the wrong decade to study at UiB..)

Judging by the way they've been drawing oldies out of their sleeves recently, we'll probably get "Biker"/"Bikersong" as an encore sometime during 2011.

Unless of course they have something newer than HMF to promote by then.

I bet they'll be giving us some goodies from RW4.. Can't wait to hear how that material works out live!

Sorry about the incorrect info, guys! Got kinda animated after the show. Anyway, great jammy gig, nice to see them in a small venue and the ending with starhammer/wheel and x3 was amazing. cant wait for the recording. Got some pics but I have a lousy camera so not any good ones, I guess.

                        And elephant9 was awesome too!

Packing my bags as I type! I'll be that guy with the glasses, the beard, no hair and a big smile on my face if anyone wants to say hi! Will try to have the setlist up not long after the show, I know I would have wanted that if I were at home wondering..

Just hope it doesn't look like this:

                          – London Calling

                          On 07.00pm, off 11.15pm

                          hah!

As previously mentioned, I'm going. Also seeing Jònsi and Motorhead the following weekend. Can't wait to see what setlist they're pulling out of their sleeves. Lots of oldies? Mainly newer material? A set consisting only of The Clash-covers?

Sleepy Sun! Love their new album, "Fever". Guess we'll fit them in there too..

Btw.. A-ha plays on the 27th.

We’re going to that other Motor-band while we’re there, Motorhead! Great combo!

So, out of curiousity, are there many UK fans on this board? Do people know of them over there?
