FYI, Rockefeller is now sold out.
Yeah, this one needed a few spins. Because honestly, after the first listen I thought it was pretty boring (except 2-3 songs)
The arrangements are a bit monotonous, only 3 songs have like full band backing.But repeated listens have brought out the melodies and hooks (it is Bent’s songwriting after all
)
Kudos to Josefin Runsten on violin & viola; her strings on Hotel Daedalus and The Rapture really enhance those songs. I’m honestly curious how the stuff sounded before Fiske/Swahn beefed it up.
A very summer-y record, without a doubt.Favorite songs: Sentinels, W.C.A, Hotel Daedalus and The Rapture. I think Sentinels and Hotel Daedalus have the biggest potential for being stretched out live.
Worst song: Dank State (that chorus is so laughably half-assed
)
Rockefeller in September
Got it in the mail today, too.
About to spin the album now
From the wording of that Instagram post, it looks like the Norway tour with Olaf Olsen will be pretty straightforward.
While the tour with Ingvald Vassbø looks to be more far-out and psychedelic.
Olaf Olsen is a good choice. He’s got the chops and the skills.
But I’m not sure if he is considered a permanent solution just yet.
08.09.2023 NO Kongsberg – Energimølla
02.09.2023 NO Hamar – Festiviteten
Nevermind, I’m blind.
Great news! Nordenfjeldske Grammofonselskab it is.
Guessing we’ll get songs like Cold & Bored + Dank State that were previewed live in 2021 + 2022.
Excited to see if this is a pure acoustic album, or if it has evolved into something else
Also the picture of Bent & Snah playing Ludo is hilarious. Any deep symbolism behind that picture? :P

I saw Instagram clips of Arne Hassle, Chariot of The Sun, Whip That Ghost, The Magpie, The Tower and Überpilgrim. So I guess those were played yesterday.
Thanks to Timmy Pinscher, the majority of the concert
is up on Youtube@Blashyrkh: My guess is that it’s The Alchemyst. That one has had a few alternate titles throughout the years… Plus that it was played the 2 preceding gigs as well.
Trio gig?

I know Ståle is a huge ELP fan, so it would make sense.Anyway, great setlist and I’m guessing it’s the second longest MP gig ever (after the Ringnes gig last year)
