Good show last night! Similar jams to what I've heard from the recordings from London, Starhammer->The Wheel->Starhammer is a great combo. And the new songs are proggy tunes, cool stuff :)

      Also: MOUNTAIN! :D

Thank you for that! Amazing quality, great atmosphere and performance :)

I wonder if the jam has been shortened by the editor. The footage is out of sync at times. Could be that they used footage from different sections of the song though, to make it more diverse, visually..

Either way, really good stuff, ummagummaga!

Okay, I'm all too ready for the Motorshow now.

All I ask is that you play 577, guys!

                Or Mountain.

                That is all.

                Please? :>

@Elco: I have never used the Xotic, sorry. But I can tell you that I tested the BDI21 at practice yesterday, and it sounds really good. I think the amp was an Ampeg B100R, and I hooked it up bass->Muff->BDI-amp. For a common reference point, you can get any Bent-sound from that combo, ranging from fuzzladen Demon Box/Trust Us angriness, to a smoother LTEC-sound. Like I said, moneywise it's a no-brainer. But I have no experience with the Xotic :/

Just got my tickets! Arriving on saturday, leaving sunday. I've never been to Stavanger, so this should be cool.

                      Now, who else is going?

I just recently bought a Behringer BDI21 pedal. It's a bass preamp pedal modelled from the more expensive Tech21 Sansamp Bass Driver, which, in turn, is modelled from the Ampeg tube amps. The Tech21 pedal is too expensive for me and hard to get hold of in Norway, and I won't be able to afford an Ampeg stack in years, so I went for the cheaper option.

You can dial in a wide range of sounds on this thing, from smooth, 'barely breaking up' overdrive, to all-out distortion. Add a Big Muff and you have all the distortion you'll ever need.

And despite my initial concerns about Behringers products, this is actually a great pedal! While not an actual tube amp of course, it sure brings out that 'warm tube sound' (buzz word warning!). Just a recommendation for bass players that can't afford the 'real deal'. For 400 NOK it's a steal :)

@kjesso: Cool. That's two inspirations right there. 'Mountain' and the entire first Tussler-album :)

@kjesso: I only have Mountains album Twin Peaks here, but could it be 'Never in my life'? There is also a track named 'Theme for an imaginary western' on the album..

@CaptainAubrey: The set list will consist of one song, and one song only. It will be a 1.5hr version of London Calling. Then they'll promptly and almost unnoticably jam their way into Rick Astley – Never Gonna Give You Up. It's the ultimate rick-roll..
