Sure it was ÜberPilgrim. The proof is up on Dime. Feel free to share FOR FREE!
Very nice setlist, all of the songs from the new album were played. Starhamster is
always welcome, even more if they went into a space jam. The Other fool…or the other
other fool? That one from Roadworks #1 is…forever in my top10 songs of them.
I think the combination of Überwagner and Wishbone Ash's "Pilgrim" worked very well a few
years ago. Superb guitar notes exchanges between Snah and Reine.
Still some six weeks to wait until Hamburg.
Impressive setlist…happy börsday dear Bent!
Glück, Gesundheit und einen Haufen "Kohle"! (fra Tyskland)
And many more years of your infamous "Bentbombs" to come !!!
I'm usually late on commenting on a new MP album. And, somehow…I#ve to dig deeper into the
cosmos. But I liked the first side of my edition very much. LUX AETERNA is a bit different
to my first encounter in Bielefeld. Psychotzar is as heavy as they can do but also adding
very much different sounds as well. I think it'll take a while until I get used to that.
But…quoting VdGG…yes. Bent, Reine and me talked about that last November. My favourite
progressive band ever. Who the fuck is KC? Nah, sorry, let's settle down on a great "Dark Star -> The other one" from the real explorers of mind and sound in rock history.
BTW…as I said that ELEPHANT 9's "the greatest show on earth" is my favourite album from
2018…the AMGALA TEMPEL album scratches on that throne. Have a listen! All worth doing!
There are still 2 days between Hamburg and Utrecht. So there might be space enough
for BREMEN or – what I would prefer – AMSTERDAM. All along the "truckin" way.
As there are only four dates here in Germany (and sorry REUTLINGEN is too far away for
just one show) I'll keep an eye on HH, H and WI. And Groningen also looks delicious.
Never been to Vera.
Very much understandable to me. Hope that doesn't affect the audio recording.
@ ffbernie: The uncut version is on its way to you. hope you can use it. sounds PHATT!
@ MP: I don't think it is fair that you started both in Bielefeld and this show with my
favourite weeping song. Almost no tears left for the remainer of a show…but a big grin
for HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGGGGWAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSH! Tusen takk!
Matrix Audience Recording is almost ready for a DimeTravel. Sounds massive!
@ Bernie: If you need an uncut version please pm me at Dime or here and I'll send you
a wetransfer flac file. I was standing behind you at the board. The guy who completely went
nutz @ Year 0.
From those four MP shows I experienced this year and all the other tapes that I listened
and shared this one is par with the monumental Bielefeld show. Except for the truncated
"Taifun" at the end (broken string/playing time's up?) every song was delivered in a monster
version. Sound in front wasn't too fine, but at the board EXCELLENT!
Well worth the ride. Wonderful location as well. Wish we had something like that in Tyskland.
What about Amsterdam? Paradiso Psychonautic Experience? Or Athens?
As Hamburg and Hannover are already announced, it is unlikely they will play Bremen, too.
But Schlachthof is a very nice location (but not on "Freimarkt" as last time, that sucked!)
They could do Bielefeld again (
Maybe Nuernberg?
Listening to the recording of the show…STG is the clear highlight…15 min.+!!!!
Hamburg and Hannover – yahooooooo! Faust is one of top 3 fave locations!
But only 4 dates in Tyskland…that seems very unlikely!
November 26, 2018 at 13:09 in reply to: Amgala Temple [Lars Horntvedt, Amund Maarud and Gard Nilsen] #34214…there was something on DIME…amazing band. hope stickman will distribute it in EU.
the video is nice…the audio not really. Something I stay in tune with the ViKINGS…
all fine with a good audio recording (I got permission) but not with a rather crappy
sounding U-Tube video. Not my world and neither that of the band.
@ eddy_t: Yes, that was the weakest of the triple in 1975/1976. Meurgyls III is still
very fine, but I don't think Banton and SaxonJackson wanted to do "Reggae". So the band
split afterwards into "Peter Hammill's VdG". Still life/Godbluff are really fine albums,
maybe a bit too fast following each others…
AS from the recent past: Yes, of course I miss Mr. Jackson, but I think he doesn't like to
tour that much anymore instead of concentrating on his work with disabled children.
Peter Hammill: Saw him in last May twice in Dortmund. Nice, but helluva exhausting.
Is there a weak album by VdGG? Don't think so. H to He stands out as well as Pawn hearts.
"A plague of lighthouse keepers" is unbelievable. But I also like the later ones as VdG
very much. The live album…the late Nic Potter on fuzzed out bass…Pioneers over C…
Sphinx in the face…all beautiful music.
