First i think, is the " no fear " approach to their song writting, the fact that they are always looking for new boundaries to be pushed, or fences to be taken down. A vast input of work also, the MP back catalog can be very impressive, daunting and confusing for new comers, but as you unfold it, great things happen ( as it did to me ), great songs are heard. They are a modern day version of the myth surrounding the "deads". With a fan base as rabid as the deadheads. The fact that their concerts are musical marathon too help boasting the mythical aspect of the band. It's very hard to explain really, i can't pinpoint it, but whenever this band is playing, i feel something within me that wanna rock out. As simple as that, as bold as it sounds, they make me wanna rock out, feel good, tune in, turn on, drop out….

    My Bands:

It would be a far shot to say that we sound or have traces of Mp in any of the stuff here, but i am a huge fan, and all the drummers in MP have influenced or tainted my playing.

yes it is, but i am always up for a challenge, hopefully one day they will tour over here, even if its in the states, it would be still cheaper for me to go there than europe, with a wife and kid at home priorities have to be set and mt…. but i am quite sure that a city like mine ( montreal ) would love MP, for some reason i could see them play at International Jazz festival we have here every summer, that would be great, they sometimes have bands that are not jazz per say but still retain the spirit of jazz music.. and MP has buckets of jazz spirit…. also i will check out the forced exposure site, get the credit card out and spoil my self a little bit…..Thanks for the tip, and thanks for the warm welcome!!!

Yeah, well it's part of the plan to get over to Europe one day and going to see a lot of stuff, including a MP show… now any good place where i can get my hands of MP records without breaking the bank on shipping cost and stuff? do they even have a distributor in the states or something?
