>> … but Lore is still my fave. Where they went from "just-another-stoner-rock-band" to "WOAH THIS IS AMAZING"…
IMHO, that happened even earlier – on "Dead Roots Stirring" .
The Legendary Flower Punk -2019 – Wabi Wu
https://thelegendaryflowerpunk.bandcamp.com/album/wabi-wu
Relatively new album by amazing instrumental/psychedelic/jam/fusion band from St.Petersburg (Russia).
Really good stuff! If you don't trust me, read some reviews on bandcamp page, or just press Play button there .
Their Europian tour planned for this spring was (obviously) cancelled, so they come up with virtual tour idea and recorded 16 different sets (!) in the rehearsal room just before the lockdown.
Now these shows are released here almost on daily basis: https://theflowerpot.bandcamp.com/ – nice way to spend some quarantine time.
BTW, the guitarist in this band is also the leader of The Grand Astoria (band, that was mentioned on the previous page of this thread).
TV:
+1 to Twin Peaks: The Return;
The Expanse (Sci-Fi new hope, all 4 seasons are awesome!);
Chernobyl (heavy, but very very good);
Castle Rock (interesting mystery/thriller/horror anthology, inspired by works of Steven King);
Good Omens (brilliant adaptation of Terry Pratchett / Neil Gaiman 1990 novel).
Games:
Pathologic 2 (https://www.gog.com/game/pathologic_2) – remake/reimagination of cult sort-of-RPG/survival/name-your-genre game from 2005, made by small Russian studio Ice-Pick Lodge.
Disco Elysium (https://www.gog.com/game/disco_elysium) – amazing new RPG, highly praised by many gamers/journalists for its world, narrative, dialogs, etc.
Bioshock series – (not new, but in case if someone missed it) probably the best story, that was ever told in FPS/RPG genre.
Very nice band indeed. Their debut album "Orion" is also worth attention.
La Horsa Bianca – 2019 – Oneiric Numeric
https://lahorsabianca.bandcamp.com/album/oneiric-numeric
2nd album of amazing new progressive/psychedelic-rock band from Ukraine.
>> New Øyvind Holm single out tomorrow…
His new album "After the Bees" has been released on 01/24.
Great record!
Diagonal – 2019 – Arc
https://diagonal.bandcamp.com/album/arc
New album by amazing British psychedelic-prog-rock band after 7 year hiatus.
Essential find for every prog fan.
Two new albums, that I'd like to share with you:
Rosalie Cunningham – S/T: https://smarturl.it/RosalieCunningham
Debut album of ex-singer/songwriter/guitarist of great retro-hard/psychedelic-rock band Purson.
iamthemorning – The Bell: https://iamthemorning.lnk.to/TheBell
New album of amazing prog/chamber-pop duo from Saint Petersburg.
Great new album, although to me their greatest (so far) is "Different Stars".
For those, who don't have Spotify in their country: https://sugarfoot1.bandcamp.com/album/in-the-clearing.
Also very nice review from Sugarfoot's #1 fan in USA : https://nervesalad.blogspot.com/2019/06/sugarfoot-in-clearing.html
Thank you for photos, Thor Egil.
"2019 Progressive Music Awards": https://www.loudersound.com/features/vote-now-in-the-2019-progressive-music-awards.
Only one nomination this time – in "Best International Band/Artist" category .
Nothing great in "Album of the Year" imho.
Ill Wicker – Darkling Woods (Live Session): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v1Gq5J5qkpQ
I'm not sure, if these guys are weird enough, but their 2nd album is superb psychedelic folk, imho.
Ill Wicker – Untamed

Vespero (Astrakhan, Russia) – Hollow Moon (2018)
Listen: https://music.vespero.ru/album/hollow-moon
Reviews: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3241
Rule #1 is broken again, sorry (should we start a new thread called "Old music" ?), but I couldn't resist the temptation to mention these guys here – amazing instrumental space/psychedelic/prog/experimental/etc.-rock band!
Wow again! Motorpsycho should ask Punj to write a part of liner notes for (hopefully coming) "Trust Us" boxset .
Thank you, guys!
@pfnuesel, I saw them twice in Kyiv (in 2013 and 2015) – they are awesome!
In 2015 band played "Curse of the Ninth" from this album, but I prefer studio version, that has a lot of additional instrumentation – guys can't afford to travel with all musicians, who played grand piano, reeds and other stuff on it .
Usually there are 4 or 5 players (1 or 2 guitars, drums, bass & keyboards).
Unfortunately the lineup is very unstable.
As I said in the first post, they are currently on tour (Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Germany), so perhaps you'll be able to check them, if you live close enough to one of venues (see full list of dates/places on facebook).

I found a video from that gig in 2015, this composition is from their 2nd album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZX1VMf410wo
