Adding artwork isn’t that necessary indeed, especially if we can have a generic template adding the title of our own roadworks.
For Discogs, that may seem redundant for our own collection, but the GBVdb.com for instance is mostly focused on the extended discography of Guided By voices more than the shows. It would make sense to me to have a MPdb that all the bands data, including their releases. Definitely not a priority tho.
The community roadworks would be already quite a lot of fun.-

April 2, 2026 at 13:00 #45384@Crunch, have fun! The Roadwork functionality is now live.
The navigation has been slightly improved: instead of “My Stats,” you now have “My Profile.” When you’re logged in, there’s a dropdown menu with “My Stats” and “Roadwork.” Also the layout is a bit more clean.
If you click on “Roadwork,” you’ll go to the Roadwork Studio, where you can create your album. You can only choose from clips that have been added to the site.
There is currently a limit of 3 Roadwork albums per user. I can easily increase this if necessary, but I’d like to see how it goes first. I also want to keep things manageable so not everyone creates thousands of albums 😄
The latest new Roadwork albums are also shown in the Community section on the homepage.
And thank you for this fun idea ! I love it !
April 2, 2026 at 15:01 #45387Holy shit that was fast! Will test it out from the airport today!
Good call on limiting to 3 roadworks per user, it will ensure some careful consideration in building these playlists.April 2, 2026 at 15:10 #45388Maybe I’ll increase it in the near future or maybe every year when there are more clips available. We’ll see how it goes.
April 2, 2026 at 16:21 #45389Good call on the link to external image.
Do you think an image masking that fits the official Roadwork artwork would be possible?
Kind of the ones that – I believe – Francesco is doing when uploading the recordings on the internet archive?
https://archive.org/details/mp2023-09-16The masking would be applied to the image linked, so it would be more visually consistent.
Also if the linked image somehow breaks, the masking can simply be applied to the selected banner color, it will still look cool and consistent.
Def not necessary
Sorry for dropping suggestions like that, I know it’s a lot of work but it’s fun seeing them being completed!
April 2, 2026 at 18:29 #45390I added the masked overlayer. It is selected by default.
April 2, 2026 at 18:57 #45391This is brilliant. Looks dope.
While trying to make a Roadwork of live versions of the 2025 Motorpsycho album, I noticed the field to choose the clip isn’t showing some results. “Lucifer” has one entry, “Laird Of Haimley” has zero, etc.
Aslo, run time is indicated as such :
Runtime
01:23
Maybe ’01h23″‘would make more sense?I would recommend at some point posting a new dedicated thread on this forum to inform the community about this Roadwork feature, maybe on other socials (I don’t follow them, dunno if facebook is still a thing for the Psychonauts). This is too good not to be promoted widely. Thanks again for doing this.

April 2, 2026 at 21:52 #45393The issues above are fixed ;-)
I’ll make a dedicated post about this tomorrow
April 3, 2026 at 14:48 #45399Taking a minute to thank everyone involved in making this database happen. Adding my attended concerts to My Stats was like a nostalgic trip down memory lane
For those who care, here are my personal stats:
44 gigs attended since 1999, 220 distinct songs played.
2 gigs in Tønsberg, the rest in the Oslo area.Songs most played: x9 Hey Jane, Feel, Upstairs/Downstairs, Neverland, Plan #1, The Other Fool, Walking On The Water
April 3, 2026 at 17:19 #45402An option to share or have on display members stats would be cool.
Also the created roadworks could appear on the profile of community members?April 3, 2026 at 18:02 #45403I have time tomorrow to do some stuff:
– fix the date for the clip results on Roadwork Studio -> Fixed
– Social share option
– View stats of fellow members. -> AddedKeep those ideas coming

April 4, 2026 at 12:08 #45409Hi Blashyrkh, really enjoying your work. Browsing the dazzling band history, re-reading comments in the forum, filling my stats, it brings back so many memories! If this hasn’t been mentioned before, would it be possible to list musicians per gig you think? Would be nice to see which of the gigs were performed as a threesome, how many included Reine, Ståle, Baard, Horn sections etc. Just an idea. Thanks so much!
April 4, 2026 at 13:09 #45410Thanks @Valderrama for the kind words — really glad you’re enjoying the site!
Yeah, that kind of extra info would be great to have. The tricky part is that I don’t have complete data for all gigs. I’m gradually adding it where I can, but it’s all manual work and pretty time-consuming 😄
If I’m not mistaken, some gigs already have that information. But will already Reine to the latest gigs.
