Great, works now, thanks
October 21, 2026 at 14:29 #45917MPDB is temporarily offline as a precaution due to the recently reported PHP security vulnerabilities.
That’s why you’ll see a temporary maintenance page. The site will be back online once the necessary security updates have been applied.
October 21, 2026 at 20:53 #45920Back online.
October 22, 2026 at 20:47 #45923I finally registered for the MP database! Quite what kept me from registering sooner is beyond me. Of course I knew all along this is the thing! Maybe it was the daunting task of entering the 89 shows I have attended so far. Well, I finally set aside two hours to enter my shows and play around with the database and it was just so easy. What a brilliant database it is! I love it of course!
God, we would have needed this much much sooner, but it’s so cool we have it now. I remember the old times, let’s say around 2000, when we kept .docs with setlists and recording info and when we manually edited Jeroen’s bootleg database in HTML. Of course when all the setlists were released by the band and made accessible through DAMPSABA that was such a huge progress back then. But here in the MP database, more than two decades later, the data ultimately comes alive.
Entering all my gigs and playing around with the stats, reviewing the tours and setlists was such a trip down memory lane. Of course I will use this brilliant tool henceforth. It’ll give me a much better grip on my personal and the overall stats.
Thank you so very much for the incredible and hard work to those who conceived it! You deserve a price!

October 22, 2026 at 22:33 #45925October 23, 2026 at 10:44 #45926Update:
– I’ve added a Pictures page to the website: https://mpdb.no/pictures/ This is all the data gathered from https://motorpsycho.fix.no/thisis/pictures/Made it a bit more easy to go through all the images
October 23, 2026 at 16:29 #45927I haven’t browsed the MPDB site for a while, enjoying a lot all the visual upgrades! Thanks for putting so much efforts into this. Really, really cool stuff.
October 23, 2026 at 16:39 #45928Many thanks @crunch !
I always see a lot of visitors on the site when MP is touring, but when they aren’t touring, not visitors.
Still thinking about what other stuff could be interesting, but I’m out of ideas.
October 24, 2026 at 09:15 #45929I really like the picture page, awesome stuff!
October 24, 2026 at 21:32 #45935I think the site is above all a tool for fans, a companion app, not a social media. It’s already pretty dense, but if an integration of the live shows from the internet archive could be done, this would centralise things even more/better.
October 25, 2026 at 11:41 #45936I’m aware that it’s already pretty dense…
Already a lot of gigs are linked to the archive page.
The link is always below the setlist itself. Example:
https://mpdb.no/gig/2026/10/10/hondarribia-fenomena-festibala-2026/Would the full forum integration be something interesting?

October 25, 2026 at 22:18 #45938This forum is very clunky on my side (I even have two accounts because somehow I cannot connect all the time with one of them), but that’s a proper discussion to have with everyone around here. It’s been more than 20 years now that we use this space. I’d be in favor of that personally for the sake of centralisation and navigation.
Regarding the density of the site, as much as I enjoy the pure database thing, I believe readability would improve without a bunch of redundant or unnecessary parts.
Like from this :

to this :

There’s a lot less, but usability won’t change much, and it leaves plenty of room for tour/album related art.
Welp, these are very small previews…
