    Hi all,

I just discovered MP today…a few hours ago…and I haven't stopped listening their stuff on youtube for the past 5 hours. I just can't believe they were all this time out of my radar. I'm mainly into psychedelic/space progressive rock and krautrock…my favourite bands being Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, King Crimson, CAN, Manuel Gottsching, etc…so I just can't understand how on Earth I never heard about these guys. It's without any doubt the most underrated band of all times. From now on I'm going to spread the voice. I also hope to be part of this community.

I live in the UK and I'm thinking to attend the concert of November in the Oslo Opera House. Since long time I wanted to visit Oslo, go to the Munch museum, etc….now with this Motorpsycho concert it's something irresistible. Question is: do you know how can I get the tickets on internet?

    Many thanks.

A big welcome to you! So you had a great day today )

For Oslo tickets try on the Opera site, http://www.operaen.no/.

There will be two shows on November 11th, the evening show was sold out months ago, but I guess you can find tickets for the afternoon! Check out the site and good luck, I know that most of the people (me too) will attend both shows on that day, just because you already know that we aren't talking about a normal band, but Motorpsycho :MPD:

Here's a few bands I listen to: BJM, Black Angels, Singapore Sling, Dead Skeletons, Asteroid#4…do you know any?

Hope you will find your ticket and have the time to get in Oslo with a decent knowledge of the greatest band of all times!

      cheers fgrom Italy

Whoops…apparently is too late for getting good tickets! Anybody knows if those balcony seats are any good ?

I've found only balcony seats for the evening…they MUST be good!

Ciao Andrea, grazie per la informazione. I don't know any of those bands you mentioned, so I'm going to check them out. Lately I've been listening the last album by Astra 'The Black Chord'…you might like it as well too.

Don't worry about sitting on the balcony. Saw The National sitting on the balcony (3rd floor far on the left side) a few years ago. Of course it's pretty far from the stage, but great overview and sound was friggin awesome.

Astra is pretty cool. On another note, a completely different genre, but still – a recent favorite of mine is White Denim's "D." (I think I read somewhere that this is one of Bent's favs last year)

At the end I bought tickets in the very last row of the midfield parkett. The balconies apparently had restricted view. So I'm going to be very very far form the stage….c'est la vie.

You, sir, you have come to the right place!

Sometimes I wish I'd discover this band only now, having a ton of records to indulge in and experience their live shatterings for the first times.

Or to discover any other band with a similar scope of things. But I guess that won't happen anymore. :(

Congratulations on discovering this wonderful band! May I ask what albums you've been listening to so far? There's still a lot for you to discover, and you're in for a treat!

AND they're one of the very best bands I've ever seen live, and I've seen a lot!

supernaut: I have similar feelings for example for Porcupine Tree…sometimes I wish I discover them now again so I can go back in their catalogue and experience the same feelings I experienced more than 10 years ago. It's so difficult to get the shivers when I listen a band for the first time…and that was exactly what happened the other day when I heard for the first time MP…I love when that happens.

Sjur577: I've listened Timothy's, TDDU and Heavy Metal Fruit.

Timothy's really surprised me in two aspects: first, the variety of styles that covers…it's really an amazing voyage this album, a complete experience; second, I don't understand how come this album hasn't been more popular…it's a genre-defining album, at the level of OK Computer.

HMF is good overall, and the first track is just amazing….I guess is an anthem for you guys.

TDDU is a masterpiece….far the best album I've heard in many years….completely in the avant-garde of our times….I just wish these guys could be more known….I'm sure they would influence the next generations to come…maybe this album will start that process.

Congrats :) I know what you meen with not knowing why Motorpsycho is so small. They should be the biggest most influential band in the world. Btw: Did you know they played the whole Timothys Monster album 2 years ago? Were kind if awesome ;)
