    I follow Reine Fiske since i heard him the first time on the swedish Prog-Band "Landberk". They had only few albums which are hard to get, but if you search on YouTube you'll find some clips. It's a bit different at first listen, but i really grows…

    I have also been a fan of Reine Fiskes bands, Landberks "Riktig Äkta" is an alltime favorite, and was deilighted with him joining the Motorpsycho family. Looking forward to seeing him at The roadburn festival with Nicklas Barker of Anekdoten, and Elephant 9..A great linup there, espessially on the day curated by Åkerfeldt http://www.roadburn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Running-Order-2014_Friday_April-11th.jpg

    Morte Macabre is another great project with Reine Fiske and Stefan Dimle from Landberk, and Nicklas Barker and Peter Nordins from Anekdoten, they have only released one album "Symphonic Holocaust".

      It might look like Dungen are working on something new. Jimi Goodwin working on new songs with Dungen

            I saw Landberk in a small pub in Stockholm in '91.

            I remember Reine breaking a string at a crucial moment.

            That's about all I remember, though, I must admit.

            That, and the fact that he spoke Trøndersk with a Swedish accent. Oh yeah, and his lovely white Strat.

              ..and for the detail freaks; It seems like he works as a mailman in between tours and albums :) ->

                If you were to recommend an album by Dungen, which one would you choose?

                #26282

                @GBD: Thanks for the link!

                @kjesso: Hard to tell… Most bands always consider their last album as their best and "Skit I Allt" is indeed one of my favourite Dungen-Albums along with "4". "Ta Det Lugnt" was their "international breakthrough album" and has great songs, but i think it's a bit too long and not so listenable from beginning to end (but that's just my opinion). Oh, and "Stadsvandringar" is also nice, but a little bit different from their later stuff.

                @banjomedic: Yeah, "Morte Macabre" was also great and as a bass player i always loved the work of Stefan Dimle as well.. Therefore i also can recommend "Paatos". Reine was also a part of this band, but only on their first album (and one song from the second). Sadly, Stefan Dimmle left Paatos 2008 and seems not to be involved in any musical project at the moment, don't know if he is still associated to "Mellotronen.com".

                  @ThorEgil: …from what i could gather from that Jimi Goodwin interview, It's not so much new Dungen material, as it is Jimi Goodwin material with the help of Reine Fiske and Fred Björling. Really hoping for more pure Ejstes/Dungen stuff tho. Been way too long since the last album.

                  My by far favourite Dungen album is the vinyl version of the self-titled debut! Quite different than the cd-mix/compilation ("99-2001" or something..) that came out a few years later (has the same cover though..)

                  Pressed in 500 copies vinyl only it's pretty hard to get by, but I know there used to be some rips of it online somewhere…

                    Skit I Allt, 4, Ta Det Lugnt are amazing and Tio Bitar is some days my favorite one;

                    This is the last song they made, produced by Jack White I believe, live version.

                      I just submitted this afternoon a review of the new Dungen album to Drowned in Sound, a site here in the Uk. The record is released on Friday, and features Reine Fiske. It's the first album of theirs I've heard, so I have little to compare it to, but it's definitely a nice listen!
