March 27, 2014 at 23:55 #26290Setlist looks correct, Sjur, with one exception: Bent played 15 seconds of Young Man's Blues immediately after Stay Young. :MPD:

March 28, 2014 at 01:25 #26292I guess the lyrics Snah was singing during Hogwash had everyone heard before this evening. I think it sounded the Stay Young-lyrics. But it´s only a guess.
They played around 2,5 hours this time. In my opinion the gig was a kind of a quiet one. If i remember the concerts over the last three years, so were there less impro-parts tonight and it felt like it could connect better with the audience or with people who haven´t been on Motorpsycho-concert before. Some songs appeared more gloomier to me then they did on another concert, for example: Blueberry, Hey Jane, PPPp, Hogwash and even Plan #1. I think a song which would fit perfectly in this set is Radiance Freq. Unfortunately I haven´t heard this one live.
March 28, 2014 at 06:49 #26293Bergens Tidende liked it. Obviously.
March 28, 2014 at 09:17 #26294The song inside Hogwash, was it Halleluwah by Can?
March 28, 2014 at 09:29 #26295haha thanks ffbernie.
March 28, 2014 at 14:29 #26296Absolutely massive concert last night. The acoustic songs really set the mood for the rest of the evening. And starting of the electric show with Cloudwalker… Wow.. What a song that is. Definitely the highlight of the evening. Hope they keep that one on setlists for many years. Hogwash is always a favourite when they play it. It was better at Roskilde in 2008, but then again, that's the best Motorpsycho show I've ever been to. Lots and lots of songs from their early years combined with BtS, which is nice. The addition of Hey Jane, Hyena, PPPP etc. made for a really good show.
My impression has always been that the BH/BC-songs aren't really that interesting live. Before last night, I would have said that I've heard No Evil one or two times too many, but last night it sounded better than ever. Hyena, which I hadn't heard live since 2006, was outstanding. The audience really seemed to appreciate that one. 385 NOK well spent.
The song inside Hogwash was in the same vein as Sunshine of Your Love. I don't think it was Halleluwah or Inside Looking Out this time. Then again, I could be wrong.
March 30, 2014 at 23:13 #26297Great gig! Plan #1 awesome, as well as Hell. Encore really blew the roof of Verftet, lots of folk singing along too Hyena (myself included) !
