August 20, 2009 at 21:43 #13519Quote:How could I take it that long
I was lost like a Cork on the ocean
It made me floating along
I was free but I had no motion
Life is pure magic when you
Finally get it right
August 21, 2009 at 00:19 #13520So, no chance with the Tiger so far, but a offer for The Waiting Game:
(Will tell to?)
The wasted years
They hope that it would mean something more
Pleasant treats
The wasted words
The waiting game we play for so long (now, here?)(so lonely?)
Tonight go gently(?) to the world(?)
Wish you kissed the tired (?)
Love will be mine
August 21, 2009 at 09:57 #13521Riding the Tiger
The faces that I thought I’d seen
and all the things she said.
The places I knew I’d been
were all inside my head.
That screaming from ..?
Though storming ..? from cities all ..?
And it just got started, now the walls come tumbling down.
Theres’ no doubt about it, revolution just in time.
As the wheels are turning, I sign up for another round.
And it just got started, revolution just in time.
as the wheels are turning, I sign up for another round.
Round and around, round and around.
Round.
August 21, 2009 at 10:18 #13522The Waiting Game
The time (it?) took
The wasted years
The hope that it would mean something more
The pleasantries
The wasted words
The waiting game we played for so long
repeat x 2
Tonight would you plead to the ..?
Wish you’d kissed the ..?
August 21, 2009 at 13:09 #13523TRaktorbass: I think you got Riding the Tiger there. But that second verse is hard to get a grasp on! I’ve tried!
Well…with a few words missing, i think we’ve got all of them now!
August 21, 2009 at 13:26 #13524@GBD: Yeah, its really tough to hear what they’re saying. Same with the last part of the waiting game, garbled voices.. If you could gather all the nearly finished lyrics in the first post, we have a winner
August 21, 2009 at 14:24 #13525@TraktorBass: Ok there we go. Still alot missing, but we’ll get there. By the way. I took a crack at the second verse of Riding The Tiger. Check if you agree. Sounds close enough atleast
August 21, 2009 at 16:21 #13526Ozzylot seems right to me!
In “Riding the tiger” I don’t hear “within” in the line “
Through a storm in the sky within us”.
In “Whole lotta diana” I think it’s
“Is your point still valid, voice still clear, do your words still rhime?”
Cornucopia also seems right to me, except that difficult first line which is hard to hear.
Mr Victim is difficult..
The Waiting Game (my favorite on the album!!) seems pretty spot-on. Good ol’ Livingroom Bent
Child of the future also seems to be good.
i think it’s “dope dealer give us hope”? or dope?
I remember when they played it live in 2006, it was pretty different.
Bent sang something like this (at least at Blæst october 2006):
stargazer holding fort
what do you see?
…
…
stars are so far away
shining so bright
go find your lucky one
… this life..?
chorus: i don’t know, but it’s not “child of the future”
something like “answers (are) so tight/tired”
BTW: COTF is the first MP album to actually have a song named the same as the album, since Demon Box and Soothe. Another nod back to their roots perhaps?
August 23, 2009 at 00:57 #13527Nice to get some words. I always heard “Stoneage lesbo” at the start of ozzy. I obviously knew it was wrong, but i couldn´t help hearing it nontheless. pretty irritating.
August 23, 2009 at 20:31 #13528This line:
“……” free for all and all for the blow!
I hear as
“Three little piggies free for all and all for the blow”
and this:
“………………” get with the program, with the flow
I think starts with
“Shame on” but I can’t tell what they sing before “program with the flow”
In cornucopia, the first line
Cold “in Saturnine” (makes no sense) or “Inside your 9”
could be
Caught inside her night
but it’s really hard to tell..
September 2, 2009 at 03:23 #13529Hey, new here, just had to have a go at diana:
Did you really think you had it in you all this time
Is your –vote– still valid, voice still clear, do your words still rhyme?
“are your…………………………..is your…………………..sublime”
Sticks and stones and broken bones, just “steal the night”
You don’t matter, No you don’t
You’re just a “once was”. Move on
–shape up and go– get with the program, with the flow
Just a “has been”, you really should know
It’s a filthy habit, hard to break but tougher to keep
But the other choices haunt your dreams and steal your sleep
If it’s one for the money, then it’s two for the show
–three little piggies– free for all and all for the blow!
You don’t matter, No you don’t
You’re just a “once was”. Move on
–shape up and go– get with the program, with the flow
Just a “has been”, you really should know!
__
Also, I hear “he knows, he sees” in the end of mr.victim, where the first poster was unsure.
___
Line number three is a stone in the shoe, can`t get my mind wrapped around what he is singing there.
So guess the only thing I brought that is new is the words “shape up and go”?

September 2, 2009 at 20:32 #13530Well anything is better then nothing I think you’re right about the Diana addon, but the Three little piggies line….i dunno….that’s not what i’m hearing.
Yeah and welcome to the club! You came late, but you came good
September 5, 2009 at 21:19 #13531I definitely hear “three little piggies”, but I could be mistaken. I guess you’ve hear of “Excuse me while I kiss this guy…” hehe. But “three little piggies” fits.. cause it’s one, two, three, if you get my point. (“one for the money, two for the show, three…” etc.
“Shape up and go” could very well be right in Diana.
I think Bent should provide us with the correct lyrics!
September 6, 2009 at 19:38 #13532Indeed! Abit irritating that he stopped doing so. But on the other hand, perhaps he wanted us to get together and figure them out ourselves like this Who knows…
Anyway….gonna listen again, but i still don’t hear those piggies!
September 12, 2009 at 11:00 #13533Quote:Cold “in Saturnine” (makes no sense) or “Inside your 9”satâ‹…urâ‹…nine  [sat-er-nahyn]
