Best show in years, due to the older stuff, I have to admit. Trance inducing at times.
Great setlist….again! Would (as usual) have loved to be there (and i find myself a little pissed off looking at those long shows, when they only played an hour and a half in Tromsø).
But Marty…Are you nuts? Taking a break during K9 and leaving when GT starts? What on earth were you thinking?
Well, I’ve heard K9 enough times and really needed a smoke (yes, I’m an addict). I like GT on album but after 2,5 hours of psychonautic madness I was satisfied. Besides that I was the designated driver so I had to drive my friends back home, and I wanted to have a beer in our local pub and got there just in time before they closed their doors.
Anyway, I would rate show this as one of my top three MP-gigs.
Well…..i imagine that k9 with Kapstad is a whole other deal. And skipping MP live to smoke and drink clearly shows that you’re quite the addict indeed.. Naah..Just kidding
But i don’t think i could have been able to do that, no matter what.
Anyway, nice review man!
And it is on dime. Missing the last 8 minutes of GT, but the rest sounds great!

It sure is!! It was awesome!! Bent has the most fantastic sound on his guitar just when the quiet part starts. It’s really wonderful!!
@ Rune: Thanks for the heads up! Really looking forward to hearing that. Plus, now i get to enjoy Giftland live aswell. AAh….life is sweet. How’s the sound btw?
Note to self; Move to central europe and take part in the magic before it’s too late. Don’t be stuck in the backdrift… Or win the lottery
I love the recording!! Un Chien rocking the house right now. Kids headbanging.
Life’s sweet!!
great pics, mark. especially #8.
Not mine this time
@Mark You were there? I think missed you! Whata shame!
The solo on Giftland is right up there with Nothing To Say from Rockefeller ’97!
Beautiful!
It’s very Roxy & Elsewhere-ish.
