December 2, 2009 at 21:07 #15577It’s a Spotify playlist.
If you don’t have Spotify it doesn’t matter. If you do you should be able to teach firefox to open that link in Spotify. I haven’t looked at Firefox since Chrome arrived, so I have no idea how.
December 3, 2009 at 11:44 #15578ah ok.
btw I’m not too convinced (yet) of the record. I was so hyped before. Now I only really dig side 4.
December 4, 2009 at 13:33 #15579I like it pretty much, owning it for a few days now. It’s not easy music but there’s only one or two songs I don’t dig too much yet. Complete side A and half of B rocks and songs like Reptiles or Scumbag Blues are just cool! And the intro to Elephants must be counted to the most rocking ever!
The production for me is just perfect. They couldn’t have done it any better.
December 4, 2009 at 15:22 #15580I still think it’s great! Spinning in daffodils is my new fav!
December 9, 2009 at 09:06 #15581Minds were blown. Amazing show yesterday in Colgne. And of course Daffodils was one of the stand out tracks. Finally I saw my other bass hero on a stage. They played a non album track called Highway 1, I think. Jones played a blazing fast distorted mandolin, double tracked on bass by Alain Johannes, if I remember correctly. And another highlight was Jones on a strap on keyboard, 80ties Duran Duran style, while Homme dropped the guitar and sang some suave sexy jazzy thingy. Oh and not to forget Jones’ 12string bass with blinking blue LED’s across the fretboard. He’s the man. Go see them whenever you get an opportunity. The energy was unbelievable. Delivered with such an ease like only non-pretentious 40+ year olds experienced rockers can, having obviously the greatest and funniest time of their lives.
Though the moshpit was very annoying. Some idiot yuppie and squarehead pricks “going crazy at a rockshow”.
December 9, 2009 at 09:19 #15582I’m also still “tripped” by the show last night, great line up of musicians there onstage – recommanded to seing live if near your town! They’ll broadcast major parts of the show (+ Queens-stuff) on German TV station “WDR” next week, btw. – wonder how it will appear on television!
“Rockapalast” – Tuesday December 15th (23:15 – 1:00)

December 9, 2009 at 10:05 #15583We have one TV provider in switzerland and they shove the great stations one after the other into digital territory. Like BBC, TNT and WDR, so I’m not getting it. dammit. Ah well torrent is here to save us.
December 9, 2009 at 15:52 #15584Yeah, saw them on sunday here in Munich. So great! That sexy jazzy thing was Interlude with Ludes which was interpreted in a great way. Josh was pretty drunk but did his parts just perfect and cool. Had two or three songs with a very nice build up (must have been Daffodils and Warsaw)! They obviously had a great time on stage and it was fun to watch! The mosh pit was hard at times but I couldn’t prevent me to freak out as well… sorry!
December 9, 2009 at 22:17 #15585Thou art forgiven.
