November 1, 2017 at 10:46 #31339Quote:17 since 2007 (I was 15 at the time).I reckon that makes you one of the youngest around here. First MP show aged 15, not bad. I guess at that age, I was still into Bon Jovi or some other equally embarrassing shit
November 1, 2017 at 10:55 #31340Answered 30-34, but I'm not quite sure. Think I counted around ten years ago and it was around 30. Thinking about it know I might have just passed 35.
First one was in April 99.
November 1, 2017 at 12:51 #31341What other bands are there, where fans see 100+ shows, do you guys reckon? Bruce Springsteen, Phish and Grateful Dead come to my mind. All fill stadiums. Any "smaller" bands that can do that, besides Motorpsycho?
November 1, 2017 at 14:19 #31342About 20 since 1996, 3/4 of them until 2001
November 1, 2017 at 15:50 #31343Anonymous58 will be later today First was September 93 in Zürich
November 1, 2017 at 16:02 #31344Approaching 50 since 1997 in Holland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and Norway. Since living in Scandinavia the amount of shows might have not been rising as much as compared to living in Belgium/Germany before, but the luxury of gigs like Hovikodden 2008, Motorsilent 2010, The Unicorn in the Oslo opera house, Königsberg Jazzfestival with Stian Westerhuis opening for Primus, Oslo Domkyrka med Stale St or with Trondheim Jazzircheestra at Molde Jazz has for sure given me a different perspective of the bands potential. More to come…..
November 1, 2017 at 17:54 #3134511 since August 2013 (Nirwana Tuinfeest, NL). 7 with Kenneth, 4 with Tomas.
November 1, 2017 at 18:17 #31346@pfnuesel I think you'd be surprised. A couple of years ago I met a guy who had seen Magma 175 times. And I know several people who have seen Yes well over 100 times. The most I've seen any band is Solstice, a British folk-prog rock band, 41 times. Most bands who have been around a while will have avid fans that keep going back and follow them on tour.
November 1, 2017 at 18:59 #31347The italian shows from friday to sunday (Parma, Livorno and Trezzo) will be nr.33,34 and 35.
First one in 1995, "Bloom", Mezzago; last one this year, "Prog Fest", September 1st.
11 with Gebhardt, 1 with Jakko, 19 with Kenneth and 1 with Tomas until now.

November 1, 2017 at 20:15 #313504 shows, lowlands 1994, then sort of forgot about them till 2010, 2016 and 17.

November 1, 2017 at 22:41 #31351Just wanted to add that all my 33 shows where in Italy except one at Rotefabrik in Zurich (we went there because the guys wouldn't have toured Italy that time, they went to Spain for the first time instead)!
14 shows where in my city, Milan and provence. BLOOM near Milan, has always been a place which guaranteed great shows. Saw them 4 times there.
The last time, they played Blissard as an encore.
The time before, the played one hour of encores after the Death Defying Unicorn. The longest encore of all the tour: 9 songs, including Taifun and the Wheel…
But my favourite place for Italian MP concerts was VELVET in Rimini. Saw them there 6 times, it's the venue where I saw them more often, even though the place is 3 hours from my hometown. The first time was where I first met the band, along the fishing lake behind the venue at the end of august 2000. It was Baard's birthday and the band made him an afghan gift, and, ehm, we joined the present… That's where Geb and I started having long chats before and after the concerts. And where Bent and I watched a Italy Cup match (it was Atalanta-AC Milan), with Bent telling ME the names of Atalanta players…
Also wanna say that Velvet doesn't exist anymore, and I sort of miss it, even if now they play their "emilian" concert a bit closer to my home…
MP concerts were a lot of fun, and they were much funnier when the Geb was on the road.
And when I was younger, I suppose!
