Heh, I guess I’d file that under ensemble jam in the beginning, perhaps leaning towards a more typical SS sound. After Bent and Kenneth takes charge of the rhytm section around the 5 minute mark the focus is more on the MP side, I guess. Towards the end it starts to sound a lot like the final number of yesterday’s show – groovy and noisy and possibly about to go on for a bit too long.
@Hovmod: Any chance of a sample upload? I’d really like to hear the encore again, for instance.
March 21, 2010 at 18:09 #12129I’m setting it up for a dime upload.
I’ll let you know.
March 21, 2010 at 18:40 #12130I believe this should work.
March 21, 2010 at 19:13 #12131Looks like a few of you have started the download. :MPD:
March 21, 2010 at 19:18 #12132Ah, there we go. Thanks for the effort!
March 21, 2010 at 21:31 #12133Thanks a lot for a quick upload, Hovmod.
March 21, 2010 at 23:13 #12134leechin’ and thankin’!!!
March 22, 2010 at 08:19 #12135Dunno what happened last night, it just sort of … stopped.
Should be going again now.
March 22, 2010 at 09:51 #12136thanks!
March 22, 2010 at 12:43 #12137Interresting development in the tour. The 10 minutes from Tønsberg does not make me sad I opted out, while the tentative setlist from Trondheim sounds like something I would have like a lot more. In Fredrikstad Snah payed a guitar solo, and in Trondheim they played several parts from MHF, both things that I missed in Drammen.
@ supernaut: Don’t you think there is a huge possibility that a recording from this tour will be released by Rune Grammonfon? I’d rather see it happen outside the Roadwork series. The only right thing for the Roadwork series now would be a complete, unedited 100% MP show from the Kenneth-lineup. Preferable from the HMF-tour!
@ Red Mosquito: Have you decided to go to Oslo to see Motorsilent?
March 22, 2010 at 14:20 #12138Of course this might be a possibility. But I also think there is no “right” thing to do in the Roadwork series. History showed the boys always do whatever they feel like doing. So personally I don’t care about the format or label, I just fancy an official recording of this happening. And of that upcoming one-album show, too.
March 22, 2010 at 22:16 #12139I originally intendet to, but I finally won’t: the first reviews made me decide against it. I expected our trio would need some time to bloom and latest reviews sound tempting but efforts are high now + pricy Oslo under the rain around 4 degrees celsius are not convincing
If it was for mp alone I had been booking my tickets for weeks now. Would have liked to see them though now towards the end of the tour… But May is soon
March 24, 2010 at 07:40 #12140saw them at folken, stavanger yesterday and I thought it was really good. Good growd.
A bit boring in the beginng, where they where just noodling some quiet “polar cirlce jazz”, where Bent seemed a bit out of place, but they slowly got the pace up. After about 10 minutes they got “warm”, and the rest of the set was very inspiring. Good sound, except for the vocals being way to loud in the mix. Fancy visuals
Setlist(sort of)
Main set:
impro–>starhammer–impro–>bombproof roll–>impro–>hogwash–>beautiful and quiet snah led impro
encore:
impro–>W.B.A.T.–>impro->a little part of LLM
aprox 1h50m
March 24, 2010 at 08:56 #12141Wow, nice Set! Finally the motor really seems to be rolling – grrrr!
March 24, 2010 at 15:02 #12142Looks like X-3 is now the only HMF song yet to make its live debut. Cool!
