August 10, 2009 at 10:39 #13245cool.. unfortunately I don´t have the equipment to digitalise my vinyl.
Would you mind sending me a link – TRAKTORBASS?

August 10, 2009 at 10:55 #13247@awo: I digitalized it myself (including the cover picture), so no links, sorry.
August 10, 2009 at 10:58 #13248@ Supernaut: Are you drunk my good man? Your posts make less then no sense
@ Jtr: Well to be honest, i think i’ll take all the positive reviews as a sign of you being wrong. So it doesen’t bother me. Too bad you didn’t like it that much!
August 10, 2009 at 11:02 #13249@GBD: He’s drunk on Child of the Future perhaps. High on life, so to speak.
August 10, 2009 at 11:11 #13250Probably! We’ll that’s okaaaayy!!
August 10, 2009 at 11:49 #13251well, i think pretty much the same like jtr about COTF. (music and cover). only the sound is better…
but maybe the album will grow after few months?
August 10, 2009 at 13:27 #13252I digitalized it myself too, btw. It’s not that difficult to do. But I won’t upload it, that should be left to others (for instance MP themselves ).
@GBD: Yeah well, doesn’t bother me either (not liking the album that much), there’s plenty of other stuff to listen to…
Anyway, how you might see it, I’m certainly not wrong. It’s just my opinion and nobody has to share it. Good for all of you who like the album more than me!
August 10, 2009 at 14:10 #13253well , i tried to digitalize it, too. via mp3 player (line in)….but i´ve got some strange “klicks” in the songs does anybody know what that can be?
August 10, 2009 at 15:10 #13254Those of you who doesn’t seem to like COTF – what is it about it that bugs you? I agree to a certain extent about the cover – not the best one by Hiortøy. And then the sound – it seems a bit muddy, but i don’t feel that comes in the way of the music..
It would be fun to get some dialogue going on the pros and cons of COTF..
August 10, 2009 at 15:20 #13255JTR: Hehe nobody’s wrong here. It was just a figure of speech. But that being said, i bought a copy today, and damn! I DON’T like the artwork at all. The front is ok, but all that stuff inside was rather dull and imo uninspired. So i really hope that the music is better then the cover!
First Con
August 10, 2009 at 15:29 #13256What can I say? I totally love it! The songs already rotate inside my ears and that headstrong (was that real sperm? LOL) and really trippy artwork! But especially I like the sound. Couldn’t they just record all their next albums with that Albini guy? I think he really managed to bring back their retro low-fi attitude. COTF will be spinning a lot on my record player the next time. I already have it on my mp3-player, too.
August 10, 2009 at 16:34 #13257@mats: It’s the songs! It’s always the songs that matter. Artwork, Sound, Lyrics whatsoever CAN contribute to the overall rating of an album, but in it’s essence (at least for me) if the songs aren’t good, the record isn’t good. And on COTF, the songs just don’t grab me. They sound pretty uninspired and uninnovative, kinda average to me. They have some nice moments, yes, but overall, they don’t give me this “Oh what the hell how great is this?!?”-feeling I had with other releases by Motorpsycho. And that applies to all of ’em. My favourite is the title track, and even that one was better back in ’06.

and another con: the artwork, i mean it’s ok, nothing special but if i think of the fact that the artwork was the reason that the album was post-phoned…
Quote:And then the sound – it seems a bit muddymuddy and a bit to low for my ears
