January 21, 2010 at 17:12 #14448Quote:@ Fillmore: are you sure it was the Japanese Mono that got kicked off the bill? During that era there was also a Dutch band called Mono (from Rotterdam even), so my guess would be that it was them. They were also quite a good band.Okay, that makes sense! Back then I didn’t know the Japanese Mono, so although I attended that show I didn’t really care. Today I love them! Just recently (during the latest tour) I talked about that show with fellow psychonauts and everybody seemed convinced it was the Japanese Mono. I was stoked about that kick ass line up! Thanks for the clarifiaction! I don’t know how big Mono (JP) were in 2002 but nowadays they are definitely bigger than MP…
January 21, 2010 at 17:53 #14449mono (jp) bigger than motorpsycho? i dunno…maybe in the us…
January 21, 2010 at 18:27 #14450love them very much too and would love it to have one night with motorpsycho & mono.
January 21, 2010 at 18:34 #14451Well, they draw similiar crowds (ca. 600-1.000) but Mono are much more present in media and web 2.0 etc.! It is my guess that they sell more CDs/LPs/Downloads than MP, however relevant that might be…
January 21, 2010 at 18:36 #14452Japanese Mono were playing besides with motorpsycho headlining Kilbi-Festival back in 2004 – nice warm up I’d also say they’re less popular at least over here in Germany…
January 21, 2010 at 22:12 #14453yeah they have a slight connection.both recorded with steve albini and also they played at last years roadburn.
January 21, 2010 at 22:58 #14454Hmm…didn’t it say Mono (Jp) on the ticket or poster…still have it lying around somewhere.
Will check.
January 23, 2010 at 13:08 #14455I so hope the will play Rotterdam again in the near futre.
Perhaps in the fall, I guess this time round won’t be happening.

January 29, 2010 at 17:40 #14459Hi.I think it’s official.
From myspace.com/kokoclub : 02/06 Motorpsycho + guest H.22:00 (Euro 20,00).
Kokoclub is a very small club (near my town!) with a fair acoustics, it’s better to buy tickets in advance. Waiting for other italian dates. Bye.
January 29, 2010 at 20:43 #14460Other italian date guys: 3 june – circolo degli artisti (Rome). Only these two, for us italian psychos. Sigh.
January 29, 2010 at 21:19 #14461This is like solving a riddle (but more interesting, of course). Any guesses what will happen after the two Italian dates? Switzerland and/or France? Will they play another German date on their way to Denmark, e. g. in Kiel?
