Did they play the Unicorn suite as an encore?  Or parts of the Unicorn?

Even the first encore must have been 60 t0 75 minutes long…

I know Ståle is a huge ELP fan, so it would make sense.

Anyway, great setlist and I’m guessing it’s the second longest MP gig ever (after the Ringnes gig last year)

Aaaargh! I’m shattered. Fucking fate, that kept me from participating in this monster of an event! They must have gone entirely mad: Chariot, ML/A and NOX in a row! Followed by a Unicorn encore and still not finished!

Still buzzing, indeed.

I tried to explain my infatuation with this band to a friend recently and told him there was a 15 year run (or so-ish) where every gig I saw with them was better than the previous one. And the previous one was the best gig I had ever seen.

This streak ended somewhere around the Jacco tour, no disrespect to him.

The gigs of the last two or three or four tours are yet again extremely solid, although maybe not quite up there among the best I’ve ever seen them do. Until Friday. Friday night in Het Depot just blew all the other gigs or of the water. And that’s without the classic MP song as encore. Friday’s gig was perfect. Sound, setlist, mood, it was perfect. And insane. Best ever.
