@gaspop: Whip That Ghost is basically a pastiche of Whipping Post by Allman Brothers Band. Check out the Fillmore East live album for a mindblowing live-version
I always thought the hommage was to the song Jessica, from the “Brothers and Sisters” album, and the title was just referencing a different song of the band as a further “clue”. I don’t know the live version, though. Will check it out.
Thanks! I can definetely hear bits and pieces both in Whipping Post and Jessica. I should perhaps leave digging any further not to lessen the value of Whip that ghost for me ;-)
Spring cleaning at home, found some promo posters from 2001. (didn’t know where to post these).
So cool seeing them after so long.

And I also have 2 copies of this one :

Seeing these posters is so cool. I wasn’t living in Europe during that era. I missed grabbing these posters, I love collecting MP posters, and Ween posters Thank you for sharing. Stay awesome
