@sy2004: The band’s stance on taping and sharing has been very loose. In the past they almost actively encouraged people to tape their shows. If people brought some quality gear (as opposed to – let’s say – a glorified dictaphone), they could leave it with the PA-guys and they would patch it into the board. There have even been known cases of “contests” between Motorpsycho and their fans: MP has recordings of gigs that the fans don’t have, and vice versa. They have never been fans of bootlegging proper – as in: pressing a sub-par live-recording on a cd and selling it for big bucks that in no way benefit the band – but they have never minded their true fans circulating recordings. Nowadays their stance on this is a bit of a grey area. Since the advent of internet and the (theoretically) huge amounts of people gaining indiscriminate access to the live-recordings, I think they are a bit more reluctant in encouraging taping. They haven’t said anything officially about this though, to my knowledge. As for finding live-recordings: you could start by signing up for g-35 and maybe someone will be willing to share with you.

    Greetings,

    Thanks for replying.

I did sign up for g-35 but how does it work?

I tried to check G-35 Archive

& 1998-2000 G-35 archive but I didn’t receive a username and password for these archives?

    You’re welcome.

Concerning g-35: you could start a new topic to introduce yourself to the people on the mailinglist (simply send a mail with g35 as the address), then the replies (starting with [g35]) will appear in your mailbox. Please be advised to take it easy and not publish your whole wishlist in your first post! 8)

I think the archives are not active anymore since the list switched to another provider, but I could be completely wrong about this and confusing them with the archives of this site itself.

Greetings, welcome aboard and happy hunting!

    Thomas

edit: If you’re thinking to find live recordings in the g35 and/or fix.no-archives, you won’t find them there. As far as I remember those archives contain old posts and mails only.
