i dont know, i dont read this topic, but dont you guys just have bigger problems? I do have. so anyway. do as you want to. i go to sleep right now.
er. i don´t know if this has been mentioned already, but the pirat bay version sucks. no good quality. i just downloaded it, because of some prolblems with my my recordplayer. but this version is even worse. so if you got the vinyl, wait for a better version or rip it yourself.

The pirate bay version works fine for me, the music is excellent and thats the most important! I will play the LP when I`m at home, but for the road I think it works just fine..
I simply parked my bike in front of Rune’s house and used an old dictaphone to record COTF, worked great :MPD:

Let’s put your personal views on my intellectual poverty and “eating babies” (?) aside, and focus on the matter at hand. I’ve put across two very simple opinions that should be easy enough for you to grasp:
1. I don’t think this forum should be used to share or encouage sharing/distribution of original MP music that can be bought. Trying to illustrate this I used you as an example, since you did this very thing. Little did I know that I thereby stumbled upon a rare breed that doesn’t even accept CD-Rs from friends. My luck I guess. But nontheless, I do understand that you thought only people who has bought the record reads this forum, and this is where we differ, because I think you’re wrong. And does it matter, does it affect the proliferation of COTF Mp3s by not advertising where to download them from on this forum? No I don’t think so. But can we say it’s a shitty thing as a matter of principle? I guess we can. Did you participate? Yes! I’m I “strawmanning”? Nope.
2. The vinyl thing which is explained and discussed to death already.
And by the way, MP the next Bach? WTF? No, I agree, thankfully they’re not, in any aspect. And do I think a band can be bigger than their compositions? Yes. And you obviously don’t, so we disagree. Fine. (Though I wouldn’t be so absolute in my beliefs as you are, what if things are more complicated than you’ve made them out to be..)
And here all along I thought I was talking to you, not the “fan base as a whole”. Well, you don’t fool me, I still think it was you.

Hi guys (and gals) I digitalized COTF a couple of weeks ago, it just was too much trouble hauling my turntable on the bus, so I figured I’d sneak it all onto my iPhone instead. And I did. Rig was Michell Gyro SE/EAR 834 P/Apogee Duet/Audacity/MacBook Pro… If anyone has a good idea about where I can make it available for those of you who bought the vinyl, let me know.

Please let me know how I can get a hold of your digitalized copy of COTF, as I’m very interested. I did buy the actual vinyl, a couple of days after the release.. and I must say it truly was a bittersweet experience going home with the new album, unable to listen to it. I saw Bent Sæther the day after, and I really wanted to go over to him and filleriste han/shake him like a polaroid picture, ‘cus I still hadn’t listened to the new album due to the vinyl format. Instead I downloaded this crappy COTF rip off the internet, just to get a listen. Well, I’m still stuck with the bad copy in my ears, and the vinyl in my shelf.

@supernaut: well yup, there isn’t much to do anywayâ€â€I can’t simply go to Trondheim and protest before Bent’s home, right? I regret we two had that fuzz about it, wasn’t really worth it.
