Are there any differences between the mp3-download-version and the cd-version?
January 23, 2010 at 18:16 #15034hehe good question….i think the mp3 version are cd-rips…
January 24, 2010 at 12:52 #15035@chien: the only obvious difference is the ending of “X3”.
We’re not (yet?) back to AADAP or DB where there were even major differences in the tracklistings
January 24, 2010 at 13:48 #15036Also on DB? Damn, I never knew!
January 25, 2010 at 09:30 #15037The tracks “Gutwrench”, “Mountain” and “Mr. Who” were omitted from the CD edition of DB in order to fit the album onto one disc. If you remove these tracks the track listing is the same…
January 25, 2010 at 11:47 #15038Wasn’t there a different vinyl edition of Demon Box with sides 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 on each record?

January 25, 2010 at 15:36 #15041I’m dreaming of a remastered vinyl reissue. Not likely to happen until 2043 perhaps, but man, that would be great.
January 25, 2010 at 17:06 #15042Anonymousalso had a couple of spins. i’m impressed! also a premiere: a mp release with no weak tracks imho. on all other releases i disliked one or more songs, with the exception of blissard maybe. for me this is the most consistent record they ever put out, amazing. don’t get me wrong, i totally adore most of their stuff, especially the 90s stuff, but with the above mentioned exceptions.
also love the approx. six second ‘dirty boots’ cover in gullible’s travails
January 25, 2010 at 17:21 #15043@ supernaut
I have that album. Phew, I was afraid I had missed some songs….
January 25, 2010 at 17:23 #15044And I should play it again too, been a while…
January 25, 2010 at 18:16 #15045I think there were never so many odd meter grooves on any MP record before. On HMF there’s lots of fivers, sevens and a great niner. Ehm… that one in X3’s chorus I think. Personally I love 7/4, they can roll in a very round fashion if you make it smart. And I think they’re big partly responsible for the massiveness of this album.
January 26, 2010 at 00:57 #15046nice anecdote.
last night I went to the sunn O))) & eagle twin gig at the forum bielefeld.
(btw, sunn O))) was absolutely great and eagle twin very very good)
during the break between the shows I stand with some guys and talked a bit.
one of the guys was the guy who run the visuals at the forum.
suddenly greg anderson (you know, the guitar player from the sunn O))) )came, he want something from this forum guy,
greg saw my shirt, the longsleeve one from the bh/bc tour
with the motorpsycho lettering.
he said:
what a fucking great new motorpsycho record. and laughed.

Quote:wow, where was I?if it wasn’t some alternative local station, it must have been on couleur 3. the only big station that matters in switzerland.
