There is a nice brewery in Lviv (Western Ukraine) called Pravda (Truth).
One of their beers is called "Putin Huilo" and has awesome cover, that still make me laugh:

Make loud not war! Listen to music! Listen and talk to each other! More guns won’t make peace. That should have become clear to everyone after almost a year.
It is not just soldiers these days. In Ukraine civilians die every day – as they did in Syria before. If one side is set on destroying you at any cost it is hard to talk. Sometimes you even need more guns to defend yourself. Sad but true.

@ the conscience: We all want peace, but if someone is attacking you, you have to defend yourself; that is not the moment to throw away guns.
Having said that, I am disturbed by the way countries are sending tanks and weapons to one side or the other. It is inevitable that this will drag on and become bigger. There was room for negotiation. It is not as simple as Russia = bad and everyone else = good. Russia has to have the NATO threat that has been building for years scaled back.
Anyway, I have always felt that this goes deeper than Putin’s megalomania. The globalist psychopaths, who manipulate all sides, seek to suck us all into World War Three.

Absolutely true. And if there ever was any room for talks, they’re gone. I’m all for sending as much weaponry to Ukraine as possible to end this war as soon as possible. Everything else will drag this out for years to come. Or just sacrifice the Ukranian people as pawns.
It’s not to us westerners to call for peace, meaning nothing else but asking Ukraine to stand down, to give in, just because we feel sad about war. It’s their fucking right to choose to do what they do. And since defending themselves sets a signal to any aggressors, we must support them.
How else should this end? Ukraine giving away (parts of) their country and culture and freedom? Just so we over here can go about our happy day again?
The EU and Nato have made a mistake by politically expanding to the east and making themselves at the same time dependend from Russian gas and oil. It was recklessly greedy and naive. Then again, eastern countries chose to join EU and Nato and that’s their right. If Russia can’t offer them a better alternative, who’s to blame these countries?
“Change through trade” – as a german mantra goes – apparently doesn’t work, or rather only for the elite. And if there’s some madmen among the elites, well that’s trouble in the making. Then again that eastbound shift is NO reason for Putin to attack a souvereign country, especially based on false pretenses, as in “de-nazification of Ukraine”.
Should we all give in to IS, Nazis, White Supremacists or any warmongers in the name of peace?
And where the fuck are the sanctions against Iran? As a swiss, who lives in a country blabbering about being “neutral” (which means nothing else than “we do business with everyone”), I’m really angered about our governement.
I’m also worried about the increasing amount of heavy weapons streaming into the conflict. But this time there is one difinite agressor who is constantly rising the stakes, and we do have to support the victim of the agression in order to help them defend themselves.
In a better world talks would be possible and I would happily support any call to throw away the guns.
Btw: I do not support the view that Europa or NATO have made a mistake in expanding to the east. It was the eastern states that sought shelter and economic welfare by joining the west, and the Baltic states would probably already have been wiped off the map – again – hadn’t they joined NATO and EU as soon as possible.
One big mistake was the US announcement of stationing missiles in Poland and Romania under George W. Bush, alledgedly in defence against Iranian missiles. This was a clear breach of earlier agreements and a provocation for an increasingly nationalist Russia. But what do you expect from GWB?
Apart from that the sad development was probably unavoidable, since Putin increasingly took over the imperialist ideology from Russian nationalists (descendants of former Soviet exiles ironically) and started a very clever operation of infiltrating and obstructing the West – directing large sums of money to rightwing or extreme left parties, buying governments or former top officials like Gerhard Schröder, poisitioning old KGB cronies in alledgedly beneficial Gas Operations like North Stream 1 & 2 and destabilizing the Ukraine governments since the Orange Revolution. Any talk of provoking Western expansion just repeats Putin’s narrative.
Ukraine was guaranteed existence and security by Russia and NATO alike for giving up its nuclear potential in 1994, so it is our fucking duty to stand by that and by Ukraine. On the other hand we have a brutal, corrupt, ruthless Psychotzar in the Kremlin who started this completely unnecessary war. If you doubt any of that, just ask punknotyet how he feels about the matter. This is not about truth or not truth, this is clearly about supporting a nation under attack with civilians being murdered every day by Russian missiles.
It is true – you can’t make peace with guns – but without guns you’re dead – or slaves – sometimes. Ein Teil von mir würde gerne, wie in den Jahren zuvor, mit den Waffen von Logik, Verstand und Vernunft gegen den kollektiven Wahnsinn ankämpfen, sämtliche Widersprüche in der Politik detailliert und ausführlich aufzeigen, die Verbrechen, Lügen und illegale Kriege des einen Landes beim Namen nennen und mit Quellen belegen, die Verbrechen, Lügen und illegale Kriege eines anderen Landes mit Quellen belegen (und so schnell damit nicht fertig werden).
Ein Teil von mir kämpft dagegen an, Verschwörungstheoretiker zu werden, ein anderer Teil kämpft dagegen an, Verschwörungsleugner zu werden. Ein Teil kämpft dagegen an, eitel zu werden, weil er sich in den meisten Dingen, die er in den Jahren 2020 und 2021 befürchtete und zur Sprache brachte, mittlerweile mehr als bestätigt fühlt. Ein anderer Teil gibt zu, das große Ganze noch immer nicht verstanden zu haben.
Ein Teil beschäftigt sich mit Massenmedien, ein anderer Teil mit alternativen Informationen und Fachbüchern. Ein Teil beschäftigt sich mit Politik, mit dem Krieg zwischen zwei Ländern. Ein Teil beschäftigt sich mit einem Stellvertreterkrieg und zieht andere Mächte und andere Gedanken hinzu, erweitert die aktuelle Lage, dehnt Zeit und Raum aus, bezieht Vergangenheit und Zukunft mit ein, Wirtschaftsinteressen, Rohstoffe, anderweitige Ressourcen, Kapitalvermehrung, Machtausdehnung, Kontrolle…
Ein Teil beschäftigt sich gefährlichen Politikern und Massenmördern, mit korrupten Politikern, Politikern, die ihr Gedächtnis verloren haben, Politikern, die merkwürdige Ausbildungen erhalten haben, mit Young Global Leaders (auf beiden Seiten), mit Marionetten, mit Komikern und Schauspielern, mit Botschaftern, die fragwürdige Persönlichkeiten verehren… Ein Teil beschäftigt sich mit möglichen Drahtziehern, mit Hintermännern, mit Banken, Vermögensverwaltungen, mit Firmen, Organisationen, und Familien, die an Kriegen verdienen. Ein Teil beschäftigt sich mit allem Möglichen, das derzeit geplant, bereits zweifelsfrei auch installiert wird und die Zukunft garantiert gravierend verändern wird.
Ein Teil spielt alle möglichen Schreckensszenarien durch, ein anderer Teil glaubt weiterhin an die Kraft des Guten, an die Gegenwart, daran, dass es noch immer nicht zu spät ist.Ein Teil glaubt zu wissen, wie die Welt ein besserer Ort werden kann. Ein Teil hält sich für völlig naiv. Ein Teil will gerne noch länger diskutieren. Ein Teil hat längst aufgegeben.
Ein Teil beschäftigt sich mit aktuellen, möglicherweise schnell wieder abtretenden Kriegsakteuren, ein anderer Teil mit zeitlosen Friedensaktivisten.
Ein Teil möchte seinen Freunden und musikalisch Gleichgesinnten gerne einmal kräftig in den Hintern treten oder zumindest einen Eimer Wasser ins Gesicht schütten. Ein Teil zweifelt doch sehr daran, dass er sich selbst bereits zu den Erwachten zählen darf.
Ein Teil wird möglicherweise schon morgen wieder seine Meinung ändern und irgendetwas anderes erzählen. Ein Teil bleibt dabei und wird auch noch den Rest seines Lebens die gleiche Meinung vertreten:
Lassen wir nochmal den gleichermaßen hochmütigen sowie auch naiven Teil sprechen: Jeder Tag ist ein guter Tag um Waffen wegzuwerfen. Irgendjemand muss schließlich damit anfangen. Je länger ein Krieg andauert, desto mehr wird dabei zerstört werden, desto mehr Menschen werden dabei sterben, desto größer die Gefahr, dass auch ein bekannter oder verwandter Psychonaut dabei umkommen wird. Einen Drummer haben wir bereits (unter anderem) wegen fragwürdigen Politikerentscheidungen, willkürlichen Restriktionen und einer damit einhergehenden Inflation verloren. Ein oder mehrere ausgelöschte Psychonauten-Leben sind/wären um ein Vielfaches schlimmer.
Welche Kräfte auch immer gerade am Werk sind. Es ist vermutlich genauso naiv, zu glauben, indem wir über Politik reden, könnten wir irgendetwas ändern. All diejenigen, die ein Interesse an Krieg haben, werden diesen vermutlich nicht so schnell beenden wollen. Und mehr und größere Waffen, egal ob sie gefordert, geschenkt, gekauft oder geleast(!) werden, machen die aktuelle Situation und Zukunft garantiert nicht besser.
Ein Teil in mir möchte gerne noch dieses oder jenes Argument anführen, ein Teil endlich zum Ende kommen. Ein Teil möchte gerne weiterhin von Gehirnwäsche, Hypnose oder kollektivem Wahn sprechen, ein Teil mit gutem Beispiel vorangehen, und jegliche Form von Gewalt von nun an nach besten Kräften unterdrücken, sich nicht einmal mehr auf Wortgefechte oder anderweitige Provokationen in diesem Forum einlassen, möge die Verlockung manchmal noch so groß sein.
„Denn sie wissen nicht was sie tun“, hat ein anderer kluger Mensch bereits vor langer Zeit gesagt, war es Jesus, Gandhi oder John Lennon? War das schon wieder eine Provokation? Am besten ich halte endgültig den Mund.
Auf mein Umfeld habe ich als Individuum nur wenig Einfluss, trotzdem bin ich gerne so naiv und glaube weiterhin, dass ein kleines Individuum wenigstens ein bisschen Einfluss nehmen kann und viele Individuen möglicherweise auch viel Einfluss nehmen können. Frieden fängt im Kopf jedes Einzelnen an. So lange wir Gewalt in unseren Köpfen haben, werden wir auch außerhalb unserer Dickschädel mit Gewalt konfrontiert. Oder für die Fleischliebhaber unter euch: „So lange es Schlachthöfe gibt, wird es auch Schlachtfelder geben.“ (Leo Tolstoi) – Verdammt, ein Zitat eines bösen Russen!Aufhören, aufhören! (Nicht nur mit dem Fleischverzehr!) Keine Provokation mehr, auch nicht durch Humor! Mit gutem Beispiel vorangehen!
Nochmal und so naiv wie möglich: Es reicht, wenn die aktuellen Kriegsakteure und Weltlenker unbedingt Gewalt ausüben wollen. Die Mächtigen sind nur deshalb mächtig, weil das Volk ihnen die Macht verleiht. Je mehr Individuen in ihren Köpfen friedlich werden, desto höher die Chance auf ein größeres Stück globalen Friedens.
Hypnose, Gehirnwäsche und kollektiver Wahn, Digitalisierung der Gesellschaft – auf den Müll damit! Den Gewalttätigen muss die Macht entzogen werden, auf die einzig vernünftige, nämlich friedliche Art und Weise. Ganz egal, welches Individuum damit anfängt, ganz egal welches Volk seinen jeweiligen Unterdrückern zuerst die Macht entzieht. Wenn die eine Seite anfängt, friedlich zu werden, wird die andere bestimmt bald nachziehen. Der ewige Kreislauf, die Gewaltspirale kann und muss endlich durchbrochen werden. Wir können alle miteinander reden und auch klarkommen. Ein naives Kerlchen wie ich glaubt ganz fest daran.

Sorry I was unclear. By “a western mistake of expanding to the east” I meant the EU’s mistake was to expand while at the same time making themselves dependent from Russian gas. I’m aware that it was the eastern countries’ (and rightly so) decision to join EU and Nato. ;)
