@Mark: Yes, on the free spotify version there are some commercials between the songs, but still, you can listen to about any music you want to check out or listen to, make playlists and so on, for free. And if you don’t want to hear the commercials it’s possible to pay about 12 euros (99 NOK) for a month without commercials. From my point of view that’s a great offer! Spotify has given me the possibility to find many new bands and share playlists with my friends. Spotify is the thing!
And as a Premium member you also get Spotify on your iPhone with offline playlists. The world in your pocket!
The even better choice, by the way, is Wimp. Same as Spotify, but much better selection of music. It’s a collaboration between Telenor, Platekompaniet og Aspiro.
It’s currently in closed beta, but I’m streaming Heavy Metal Fruit in good quality as we speak.
12 Euros gives you higher quality, no commercials and good conscience.
The three or four months I’ve paid for Spotify I have not bought CDs for far more than €12, so I’m saving money, in a twisted modern way.
The most important releases I buy anyway, of course.
Plus since work pays my phone bill I quite enjoy Spotify on my phone, so I don’t have to deal with ripping and copying music to my Nokia…
