Mdou Moctar, Tinariwen, Tamikrest, Songhoy Blues – all great stuff too, with the guitar and the vibe I'm looking for! BCUC are quite interesting too.

.Although they are less into rock and more into jazz/psychedelia.

@the conscience: Thank you! That's good stuff! They are really tight, great groove, love the synth solo and she is great! Singers like that put their western equivalents to shame (if you don't include Lisa Gerrard, Sandy Denny and one or two others). I want to hear more!

Maybe Huntsmen is something for you guys? Was lucky to see them perform their album American Scrap live and loved it. Americana meets heavy stuff.
