Hi! I play in a band called Monstereo, and today we released our first recording. We are influenced by serena-maneesh, death cab, sonic youth and of course motorpsycho, among others. hope you have the time to check it out :)

edit: i play the drums btw :)

Hoezo Motorpsycho?! (what do you mean: Motorpsycho influences?!)

But great music and drumming drugthing, must be fun playing in that band!

If you'll play in Holland I will come and see the show (as long it is not to far away from my hometown :) )

If you are planning to go to play some gigs abroad send a demo to:

    Elektra, Sliedrecht (NL)

maybe they like what they hear and send you a invite.

Hehe, you are right.. :) Its pretty Little Lucid – ish, yes , but the jam in the middle is also very inspired by Serena. We are recording more songs at the moment!

Thank you, its great fun! Hopefully we will someday tour abroad, when we have the money or some label pick us up. Its the dream.

We will send our music to Elektra!

          Hei drugthing,

Your demo already sounds so great that it, maybe, would be difficult to surpass these recordings compared to the final result that might turn up on your next album?

It is a unwritten law to make your demo as simple as possible because sometimes it turns out better than the album recordings.

There are plenty examples where the demo is used for the final recordings.

I've heard worse sounding CD's (finished albums)

          Again, great songs and sounds!

Maybe a little more bass in the mix (could be that my pc speakers just aren't good enough)

If you use English lyrics/make a English version, it could be enjoyed by many more people because your music is very very nice to listen to.

          Keep up the good work!!!

Thank you so much for great feedback Crackpot Idea! :)

We wanted the demo (or short EP) to sound good so we worked alot on that. The drums are recorded in a studio, the rest by ourselves. And then mixed and mastered in the same studio where we recorded drums.

No I don't think we will ever change to English lyrics :) :)

Thanks again, so nice to hear!

I'm very impressed by your band and songs. The writing and the playing and the production is perfect. Are all your songs this long? Quite a unique style. I mean, the basics of the songs are so "non-prog" or whatever. They're rather gentle and easy accessible, so one probably wouldn't expect them to go on this long. Which is a nice take on things. I would sign you on the spot if I had a label.

I also find the bass and bassdrum could be louder though, and I have good monitor speakers. Any the voice a bit quieter maybe? Personal taste….
